It is very convenient to get to Otsuki City from Tokyo. The first Fujikyu Line from Otsuki City to Kawaguchiko will arrive at 7:30 the next day. You can see Mount Fuji from the room facing Otsuki Station.
Otsuki City is relatively remote. When we arrived at around 7pm, there were no restaurants open, but there was a convenience store very nearby.
The hotel is large, clean, has a bathtub, and provides breakfast. I didn’t see any shuttle bus to Mount Fuji.
You can check in by yourself. There are small vending machines on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hotel, but they only have drinks, not instant noodles.
