Oshu is my wife’s hometown where she hasn’t lived since high school. We took a long holiday there in July-August, with our daughter, and stayed the whole time in the Plaza Inn. The hotel has one suite on the top floor, which we occupied. It has a spacious living room and a separate bedroom, with wonderful views over the town to the mountains beyond. It was a very comfortable stay of over two weeks. The place really felt like home. The only complaint I might have is that the hotel could use some renovation. Although it nowadays is a nonsmoking establishment, some of the public areas still have a faint odor of cigarette smoke from bygone years. The hotel has two restaurants, as well as a cozy coffee lounge. We’d eat breakfast at one every morning. It’s comfortable and the quality is good, although the Western style breakfast selection is somewhat limited. They also serve Japanese and Chinese breakfast. The Western style restaurant is a popular lunch spot, especially among local ladies. The Japanese restaurant, Kikusui, is one of — if not — the best in town and also very cozy, serving a variety of smaller and larger Japanese dishes, as well as a great selection of sake and shochu. Plaza Inn is located in what can be termed the “new center” of the rather sprawling town with a great variety of good restaurants and shops within a walking distance. There’s no doubt we’ll stay there again.

We stayed on a business trip. Because it was a late check-in, the parking lot on the premises was full, but it was good because the service ticket for the station parking lot was free. The room is clean and the breakfast is rich in variety and satisfactory. Breakfast is a buffet, but vinyl gloves were distributed and corona measures were good.

Hotel on the roadside. I used it for the first time, but it is easy to use because there are roadside restaurants around because it is along the main road. It is also good to be able to move by the transfer bus to Yakiniku shop and Naka of the series shop famous for Morioka cold noodles. Convenience stores are only a little walk. Check-in was smooth. In order to press the switch when riding the elevator, the rod was installed inside the elevator entrance and the inside to prevent corona infection, and the rod was taken and the button was pressed. The rooms are card keys. The room is spacious, convenient to have a large liquid crystal television, a TV stand with three outlets and two bedsides. The table and chair were set and it was perfect for desk work. The first thing I was worried about was the smell of the room! It was painful with a tight smell like wakiga. It smells so wide that I feel like entering the room every time. There is a large bath on the top floor. There was an open-air bath, an inner bath and a sauna and it was comfortable. Breakfast is not very handmade and feels a lot of frozen food. There was no local production area on Morioka Kitakami, and it was a quite different impression from the photograph. I'm sorry. It is a very luxurious hot spring filled with water when entering because it is hot because the hot spring is drawn by the pour in the yufune of the cherry blossoms. The skin was wet and comfortable. The room is my choice mistake, but the room was a bit small because it was ３ people including the elderly, and the bedding was inconvenient with the futon even though it was a Japanese style room. All the meals were very delicious and comfortable with the hospitality of the staff. This is my second stay. Last year I stayed with a friend, but this year I stayed with my wife. Last year, I visited again because I wanted to stay with my wife and I because the dinner and breakfast were so delicious and beautiful. This time, both meals were excellent. I ate so much that I didn't even need lunch. The bath is for a small number of people, but since it's not a large inn and I don't think you'll be sharing the same with other guests, there were no problems at all, and it was well-cleaned and comfortable. The room we stayed in this time was new and clean, but the 6 tatami room was small for two people. Although it felt like the minimum necessary for two people, it was a comfortable accommodation. In addition, Motsu-ji Temple and Rengeo-in Temple are right outside the inn's parking lot, so the location is great, and you don't have to use the Motsu-ji parking lot, it's convenient, and the inn's location is easy to find. .
