Marriott's Grande Vista

This was my worst Marriott experience. This is a Marriott Vacation Club property which I didn’t realize upon booking. If you’re not a club member, you get subpar service. It took over an hour to get into our room because they gave us the wrong room type initially. They didn’t go out of their way to correct the mistake, I had to keep pushing for them to even give us what we agreed to, after waiting way too long with a tired toddler. Then we entered the correct room and there was a cockroach on the kitchen counter. I requested twice the next day for housekeeping to come and you know who never came? … housekeeping. We ended up with a lousy $25 credit on our account. My son had a blast but we will NEVER recommend this property.

The stay was okay and the activities and on the property were excellent. The staff was helpful and super friendly. The rooms were not as upgraded as I imagined but a good stay for your family and for you.

This review isn't intepositive or negative, but my hope is that it's informative for those considering to book. This is not a hotel. It is a massive several unit apartment building style. Most people drive their cars, and each building faces a parking lot. You hear cars at all times of the day. The staff do not smile, and each person was grouchy, as though guests are a nuisance. The timeshare they push is so heavy, it's flat out uncomfortable. Food is very limited, and really really bad. This is just the truth. If the weather isn't warm there is next to nothing to do, except rent a boat and go around their very small man made pond. Pick another place... I came for RnR and it was the opposite

Disappointing Experience at Marriott Grande Vista in Orlando, Florida. I recently stayed at Marriott Grande Vista in Orlando, Florida, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my concerns and disappointment regarding the hotel's customer service and safety protocols. During my stay, there were multiple fire alarm incidents that occurred without any proper communication or guidance from the hotel staff. These incidents not only disrupted my sleep but also caused unnecessary panic among guests. It was alarming to witness the lack of organization and preparedness to handle such situations. Furthermore, despite bringing these concerns to the attention of the hotel management, I was disappointed to find that there was no compensation or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. As a guest, I expect a certain level of responsibility and care from the hotel to ensure my safety and well-being. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but it is essential for a reputable hotel to have effective safety protocols in place and to communicate them clearly to guests. The lack of proper communication during the fire alarm incidents left me feeling uncertain and concerned about my safety. I hope that the management of Marriott Grande Vista in Orlando, Florida. takes my feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly. It is crucial for a hotel to prioritize the comfort and safety of its guests.

As previous owner of time shares, it is our opinion that if you're trying to market a time share you don't put your clients in a first floor musty room with 3 coffee creamers, no face or hand towels and no hair dryer. There were no sheets for the sofa bed and when the sheets were delivered we got one top sheet, no bottom sheet and no blanket. When leaving the front door, the gardens are full of hundreds of paint chips from a previous scraping and painting. For an overall attractive property, our first impression was terrible.
