The location is very good, very close to the station! Nice swimming pool! The downside is that the shower in the bathroom leaks water onto the floor when taking a shower! Breakfast is ordinary! The room looks quite new!

I would never return to this hotel. The rooms need to be refurbished, it’s like stepping back into the 60s and the shower leaks all over the bathroom floor The staff are unhelpful and unpleasant except for the male waiter at breakfast. The pool looked like a pond with green algae and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since 2015 The breakfast choice is very limited and there is no entertainment and the area isn’t very nice The restaurant’s and shops are about a 15 minute walk through the run down area I wouldn’t stay here again

We stayed 7 nights at this hotel and overall it was a nice place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed was huge. The bed is 2 single beds pushed together, which was annoying as one of us often slipped into the gap. Having said this the mattress and pillows were comfortable. There was no iron in the room although house keeping provided this when it was requested. There were no slippers or bath robes provided. No one cleaned our room for 3 days which was poor. We had to call reception to ask for housekeeping to visit our room. They did and to their credit, they visited everyday after that. The bathroom was spacious and had a shower, bidet, toilet and sink - no bath. Shower gel and soap was provided. The shower is great, has great speed and was always warm enough. It was great. We didn't get breakfast as we are late risers. The pool area is nice and the pool bar waiters are lovely. The downside of the pool area is we got bitten by mosquitoes which made some of the holiday uncomfortable (not the hotel's fault- but beware!). The pool water was so cold, i only stayed in the pool for a couple of minutes because it was unbearable! The gym has really good machines but it is always busy! I think the general public is allowed to use it. We didn't make use of the spa as it is only open 3 days a week - which is a shame. The hotel is located in a great location, close to downtown and the sea. And parking is great.

Really enjoyed my first week ….. couldn’t decide whether to stay for a second week. Heat and sunshine couldn’t resist. Mercure Hotel, Olbia. Close to shops, restaurants etc. Pool was pleasant. Room very comfortable. View from window. Love Sardinia……

It is a lovely hotel middle of the city. Violetta and Matteo in the poolbar made our stay unforgetable. Thank you for the amazing service and your kindness. <3 The rooms are big, beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast is really good. Perfect place to enjoy a summer holiday on Sardinia.

Where should i start!? We had major problems with the air conditioning which seemed to work only during the day. First night it worked fine but then it stopped working. They said every day that they are working on it. I understand that this takes time but I read some comments that mention the same problem a month ago. The bed is not comfortable. The room is outdated and the pictures really make it seem it’s a lot more modern. The shower doors didn’t fully close, the toillet was so high up I almost didn’t reach the floor ( not to mention that if you don’t press two times on the flush button the water keeps running) . We used the pool the first day but it’s not cleaned. Like grass is growing on the edge, in that grill where the extra water gets drained. The second major issue was the cleaning. Nobody cleaned the room the first day. I think housekeeping knocked on the door around 5 PM but we were already in the room and too tired after the beach to leave it for cleaning. The following days the cleaning was minimal, no vaccuming and one day I even found the containts of the bathroom trashcan in the toilet which I had to take out myself. After complaining, on the last day they clean the room properly. All in all this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Not at all 4 stars.

Do not stay at this hotel if you are of colour. Extremely racist staff. Rude, ignorant, disrespectful, horrible staff working at this hotel. Staff make you feel unwanted and uncomfortable. Avoid avoid avoid.

I have thought about our stay at this hotel now for a fair few weeks since coming back. Here is my review - Good points - The restaurant staff male and female - Luca is a lovely chap and a great person to have been served by, all the ladies are lovely and friendly also. The food in the restaurant in the evening is lovely and tasty - I recommend all of the items on the menu. - (Albeit you could do with a few more items and ice cream on the dessert menu) Lasagna, Pizza etc...kids meals..maybe change the menu every week? It's a nice setting next to the pool at dusk. The pool area is nice and the bar is well stocked. The younger guy and older chap are nice and friendly. - and speak good English and the Polish Italian lady who are lovely. Ladies who clean the room do a great job and I left them some money! The hotel is 15-20 minute walk from the main Olbia square/shops and area of interest - there are hundreds of other restaurants which well, were amazing. We did not have a bad meal in Sardinia at all !! You can get a bus to the beaches locally and the shopping centre and even the airport which is great, and a train station is a few minutes away. The lady who organises the tours at reception is lovely, friendly and can sort you out, we did the boat tour seeing all the islands in the North and crystal clear water - high recommended! The gym and spa are good, and have good machines. My daughter had a spa treatment and liked it. So well done there... So the things that are not good - Wi-fi is just terrible - worked ok in the room at 5.30am and then dies the more people that wake up and try to use it - Was a bit better down stairs but not amazing. Breakfast could do with more hot items and change around. More sunbeds required, (get down there early to secure or you will be dissapointed) If it is a 4* you need a porter to help with your luggage ! as the steps are crazy with suitcases! or a staff member to help. Reception staff need to be more friendly, the odd Hi and Hello would be nice! have a nice day, etc can we don anything for you? how is your stay going? etc etc.... The life guard or the chap who puts the beds out needs to change his attuide, I asked for a new towel and he looked at me in disgust! I think you need to remove his 'life guard t-shirt' as I have never met or seen a life guard who has head phones on, and is on his phone all day then disappears... The pool closes at 6ish, he should not start taking the umbrellas down before hand when you are still sitting by them ! - I get it everyone wants to go home but come on.... Air con in our room was not good and turns off, we did speak to reception about this and he said it was ok - not by my standard..we did not move rooms, just spent minimum time in it. Its too hot in the breakfast room. The hotel is not 4* it is dated in places, rooms are clean and cleaned daily. The bed we had creaked..which was not ideal! Even one night the people next room to us banged on our wall

It’s a shame Accor is affiliated with this property. This is not a 4 star hotel. Reception doesn’t greet your when arrive or offers help with your luggage. Rooms do not look good. With a very strange and cheap renovations. Safe is not functional. They offered to fix it the next morning when we were supposed to be checking out. Our shower flooded the bathroom floor after each use. This is due to poor design and weird renovation like a 5 year old did it. Staff does not want to do anything about it. Wifi is weak and doesn’t work in the room. We found water and in the fridge and one was open and refilled with tap water. They offered us to move rooms after multiple complaints at 2 am in the morning. Understandably we had to turn it down down. General manager Alessandro is rude and not professional. He was not willing to do anything to make our experience any better I mean nothing not even a free drink. He won’t look you in the eyes and will tell you that they offered you a solution of moving rooms at 2 am after 12+ flight from Canada. I am going to reach out to Accor to share our experience this hotel should not be affiliated with the brand. Do yourself a favour do not book this accommodation in Olbia.
