Space is so beautiful, it felt like staying inside a painting! We appreciated the 24/7 coffee and the snacks available throughout the day, not to mention the breakfast. The staff was incredibly kind and helped us out constantly with our Oaxaca itinerary. :-)

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were pampered by the wonderful team at Pug Seal Oaxaca. Without exception, everyone was extremely friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The property was well maintained and spotlessly clean. And the spaces were beautifully decorated and tranquil. Small details such as the tea/coffee stations to the complimentary snacks throughout the day and honor bars in the lovely courtyard set the hotel apart from other boutique hotels. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Terrific hotel, great staff, great location. First class experience. Lovely room, the food was all excellent, and everyone I spoke to there was really helpful. There's not a thing I would change about the hotel. Also, here are more words, since it is making me write them.

I loved this hotel more than I can say. I travel a lot and I am very choosy about where I stay, and Pug Seal Oaxaca vastly exceeded my expectations in every way. Even more beautiful in person than in the photos, and the staff were all super kind and extremely helpful. A++++!!!

It would have been a five had it not been for the annoying/migraine inducing EDM reverberating through the walls from the nightclub next door. I believe the rooms that adjoin this establishment should come with an advisory. We could not sleep well for two of the three nights we were there. Otherwise the staff are attentive and the building is beautiful. It reminded me of Andalucía and Morocco.

Writing this review to help others manage their expectations. We were so excited to stay here and had originally booked for 3 nights. We had to change our dates and it was only available for one night and I’m so relieved it worked out that way and we only had to stay for one night. The location is great. Close to everything. Across from boulenc. The building is very pretty. That said the hotel feels more like a hostel than a lovely boutique hotel. Branding everywhere. Cheap furniture. Our biggest issue was the room. If you ever want to know what being in solitary confinement feels like, stay here. Our room was dark. Exposed pipes/wiring. Zero natural light. I was literally having a panic attach because it looked like we were locked inside with all the window shutters closed. Ending on a positive note - The shower is fabulous.

I was moved in the middle of my stay. I had booked the room a month prior to our arrival. They had notified me prior to our visit that I would be moving rooms after 3 days and I was promised the same grade of room. It wasn't the same. Much smaller and at the rear of the property. Nothing as nice as the original room. I asked for some compensation for the down grade and move. I was told that they couldn't make that decision. I asked for a call or email from management. I never received a call back. The service staff couldn't have been nicer. They need to give the front desk manager some freedom to make decisions to keep there customers happy. We wont be back. Mark

Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, snacks and fruit waters always available, an honor bar, centrally located and the friendliest staff! The breakfast choices were delicious and our waitress (Ivette) greeted us each morning with a big smile.Highly recommended!
