The hotel is near the new town near the train and bus stations. Useful when going back and forth using either. It's not along the river, which is the highlight of Ninh Binh, so you can't see the scenery when you wake up in the morning. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, but I was surprised that the electricity, which had been fine at night, didn't turn on when I woke up in the morning. (I had it fixed while I was eating breakfast.) However, as is the case with Ninh Binh, the road is so wide that it's quite a long way to go. There was a nice cafe in a small residential area behind the bus stop.

We’ve booked a one-week trip with Mr Truong. It was just incredible and we highly recommend him. We’ve seen beautiful places up north where we could live local adventures away from tourist spots. He organized for us a French-speaking guide who was amazing. Truong is a very good driver, a flexible and smart person. He even found a solution for us to avoid the typhoon. We stayed three nights in his friendly home and everything was perfect (cleaned room, tasty meals and lovely atmosphere). Thank you again Mr Truong and family for making our trip unforgettable. The location was in local Marquette. I thought it was a good place to feel Vietnam. when we stayed, the road leading to the main street was under construction I felt inconvenient to walk. The father of the inn was friendly and helpful. The water drain and water pressure of the shower were good.

Had to spend a bit of time on arrival to find someone to check us in. The room provided was exactly what we asked for and well maintained and clean. Basically a good value for money hotel. There was a good range of eateries available within a couple of blocks and also lots of stalls selling fresh produce and the bonus of a bus station only 5 mins walk that took us back to Hanoi.

We went there with a booked Tour but would certainly never go back to this hotel. Everything still seems like french of 50 years ago and never changed, same curtains and sheets and decorations, all outdated and not well kept. Bed was super hard.We had a very big old tv in the room, WiFi was terrible, shower leaking through the whole bathroom so after showering stays wet feet when you need to use toilet or sink. The restaurant was not inviting. Breakfast was ok but coffee very bad.
