Hotels with Bars in Nimes

Needed a hotel near station/airport shuttle to get flight home. But this hotel was better than expected - and Nimes deserves a day or two looking at the roman historical sites etc. IBIS Budget Hotel is right across the road from the train station (back exit for bus connections) and is situated in same building as IBIS Styles so don't be confused! They have the same reception area/dining area - you just head to different sides of the hotel for your selected room. Stayed in budget part of hotel. Quirky rooms with clever and efficient use of space having shower/sink 'in room' and toilet in its own cubicle. Bed very comfortable, good shower. We really only needed a bed for the night and this more than sufficed. Reviews had shown people rated the breakfasts well and this is well justified. Excellent choices of continental but also scrambled egg, pancakes and waffles. Lots of continental breads and croissants and as we were eating staff brought out freshly baked madeleines (delicious!). Lots of fruit and impressed with the use of loose teas and recyclable bags to make your own teabags. Shuttle for airport right outside and staff at check in checked times and prices for us. We had only one night there but the roman arena is gorgeous and there were several restaurants beside this. Highly recommend the fillet steak at Chez Hubert. Gorgeous! Better than expected experience and ideal for what we needed.

The room is large and there is a sofa bed suitable for families with children. The variety of breakfast is a bit small, but the hotel is in a very good location and it is very convenient to go out.

I suppose the overriding positive is the location i.e. centre-ville and right near the 'arene'. It's probably the shortest distance ever I have had to walk after a gig to get to bed. Wonderful. Parking underneath (by a separate parking business - but get a discounted rate at the hotel). It was a bit odd that we were given an 'accessible-needs' room. Not sure why. I mean fine, but everything was a bit low and a curtain-type shower. A handle had been repaired on a sliding door but had not been done very well and left in a poor state. Clearly, small stuff but just seemed a bit odd (again). Breakfast was fine. Again, continuing the 'odd' theme, it seemed to be in a different and smaller room. Not sure why. ....but location can not be beaten.

All well except loader that for the Tesla, and in the nearby environments as impossible to reload the car To precise because c is noted that it is possible to load a electric car I need 200 characters minimum for the opinion and sincerely I do not save more what to say ;)

We reserved two nights at the Royal Hotel in Nimes, France. On the day we checked-in, they charged my credit card for the two nights lodging, but I was not made aware of this. When we checked out, we were given a receipt for the two nights lodging, plus parking fee and tax, which was charged to my credit card. It wasn't until I saw my credit card statement that I realized they double charged for the two nights lodging. I sent them a couple emails about the double charges, but never received a response. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded me the extra charges, and said they would deal with the hotel about the charges. I never heard more about it. The hotel is in a nice location for seeing the sights in Nimes, and the room was fine. Our room overlooked the outdoor restaurant in front of the hotel, but we did not have any noise issues at night. We did not eat there, because they did not offer gluten-free meals, but there were other restaurants in town that did. There is a public underground parking garage with an elevator that come up the street next to the hotel. Over-all, a good stay except for the double charges on the credit card.

Based on the many positive reviews, we booked this hotel for a stopover to our final destination (Costa Blanca) and it turned out to be a great success! Plenty of free parking, very spacious room and bathroom, king-size bed with firm mattress and good pillows, cozy seating area, excellent WiFi connection. Good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

Avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hôtel. Accueil et services très bien. Notre chambre était spacieuse ainsi que la SDB; La Literie était bonne et l'hôtel (un week-end) plutôt calme. Le petit déjeuner était varié et copieux. Même en périphérie il est assez près du centre. A Recommander pour un bon rapport qualité prix .

Very small room, not to mention the bathroom is simply ridiculous... The hook for the shower head is broken, the doors are not waterproof: lots of water on the floor after the shower. There are two cushions on the bed, one of which does not have a removable pillowcase so it cannot be washed between each client and is not super hygienic.... Very poor soundproofing, you can hear all the noises from the corridor and the adjacent doors closing. The receptionist had not prepared the room keys correctly for the group you were in. Decent breakfast apart from the fact that you have to ask for cutlery trays...the staff is quickly overwhelmed.

Cracking little Ibis, around 5 mins off the motorway. Very well soundproofed rooms, with big comfy beds. Loads of bars n restaurants within a 5 min walk. Grassy area out front of hotel for dogs. Good Wifi, secure parking and a very good breakfast choice. All staff great, especially the young guy from Brazil. Pool open, and big enough to swim laps
