Green Nest Resort Ooty

The location is fantastic with trails to nearby hill top via tea garden. The food is served on time and taste is good. The co-ordination between reception and room service is poor and we have to repeat the request several times. Housekeeping speak only Hindi and it’s difficult to converse in English or Tamil. We also noticed there is some conflict between the restaurant staff where the music is changed very frequently between the two groups.

Amazing valley view with tea garden estates, small kids indoor play area, bonfire area with artificial waterfall, tea garden trail and trekking area from resort, good mix of both North and south Indian foods. Unlike other resorts we visited in Coorg and waynards, dinner wasnt complimentary. Food was good with very helpful staff. ***ager was very humble and remained eager to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. As Staff was from different backgrounds, we had trouble communicating in both English and hindi at times but there were few Senior staff who were good in both.

Had Pleasant Stay with family and friends. Perfect spot with excellent service . Order your lunch and dinner atleast an hour early to avoid long waiting time in restaurant. Regarding food options,Indian dishes were good but continental dishes has to improve a lot... If they improve on food choices they provide and ***age orders.. this would be the best option to stay over...

We had a wonderful stay at Green Nest Resort. Staffs were so friendly and helpful with smile. Breath taking location with tea garden and mountain view really makes us to visit again. Rooms are neat and well maintained. South India foods, tandoori were so good, but limited in desert only with ice cream was disappoinment. Thanks once again for Green Nest team on thier hospitality and provided a relaxing stay

They couldn’t meet the Agoda sale that I paid for . I left it as I didn’t want to spoil the trip . Yet the ***ger ( the person at reception ) had to go the extent of harassment in getting his point of argument even though I said ok to his terms . For me , politeness and code of conduct is more important than the complementary coffee that was refused . Don’t know how safe it is for women travellers if they show such code of conduct . To be noted by ***agement .

Green Nest is a lovely property that is situated in a remote area in Kotagiri and nested amongst tea plantations. The property is well maintained and well appointed and the rooms are extremely large and comfortable. We were staying in the Superior Kings room. The front office staff are very polite and helpful Having said that i would like to raise the following red flags , 1. The property is situated in a remote area and pretty difficult to locate and reach . So keep refreshing google maps. Signboards to the property is just one on the way. 2. The last stretch of about 1 km is steep and non paved kutcha road . The road is narrow and bigger vehicles' will be difficult to ***euver specially is another vehicle approaches form the other direction. 3. I would rate the in house dinning experience as poor . The restaurant is run more like a canteen mess ( complete with melmine plates etc ) and certainly lacks any star rating. As the location is remote you are compelled to use the in house dining facilities specially at night. Continental options are non existent . You need to inform the chef for low spice low chilly food which is then prepared specially for you. The chef Ganesh was very accommodating in that respect

This resort is completely surrounded by huge tea plantations. Resort offers stunning views of tea plantation. We had a unique experience staying here. Last kilometer to resort is somewhat off road but it is ***ageable for sedan cars. We stayed in Royal Toda room for 2 nights. Room has large bathroom. Room is nicely done in terms of interior. They have selfie point and small running track. Kids can enjoy slides and swings. They arrange bonfire in the evening. You can walk through tea plantation and hike till hill. Just beaware of bisons :) Breakfast is good. Lunch/Dinner food is below average. Even though they are situated in tea plantation they dont provide green tea. There are no menu items for Lunch/Dinner with south Indian preparation. All vegeterian sabji has same preparation.

Green Nest Resort, Kotagiri, Tamilnadu is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed. The cab was coming from Green Nest Resort to Mysore for pic-up and we started for Green Nest Resort Kotagiri on 16th November' 2023. We went for family trip (South India) started from Bangaluru and we celebrate my daughter's birthday in a great hotel. From Bangalore we went Mysore and after two nights stay, we left for Kotagiri. Green Nest Resort is located 36 Km from Ooty. I went Ooty in previous but at present Kotagiri is much better place for stay according to me If you love to stay inside Tea estate, Coffee plantation and lash greenery stunning Nilgiris Mountain Hill view. This resort is the must Recommended stay place. Superb ambience, Awesome delicious foods, Bonfire, Live BBQ, Indoor games, so ***y other activities, Excellent hospitality makes us very happy & more importunately a complete relaxation of Body - Mind - Spirit. I can't forget hotel ***agement team member's humbleness. They are cordial, cooperative and supportive. Mr. Anand is one of them of resort's staff member and Madam (forgot her name) who was look after our complimentary breakfast ***agement as well as the Front Office of resort was so much helpful & very cooperative persons. Three issues I like to mention for the sake of the improvement of this nature resort: 1) Communication skill (Spoken & Understand English & Hindi languages) of staff members of Food & Beverage Department, Back Office need to be more improve. 2) Prep. time & serve the ordered food wasn't good enough. Fast service is extremely important. Food options were limited too, versatile menu is required. Well trained chef can make / prep different dishes. 3) Make sure that the bills of every priced item (Foods / Medicines / Transportation, any other from restaurant or market) those were ordered by guest, must have to be signed by that guest so that daily billed amount will be transparent. Make two copies of each bill. One will be guest copy & other will be resort's copy. Handover the final bill ***** with individual guest copies of bills signed by that guest at the time of Check Out. I hope the resort ***agement, MD will take necessary actions for more betterment or goodwill of Green Nest Resort, Kotagiri. We three of us enjoyed a lot during our 3 nights stay and I shall definitely stay again in future. Its highly recommended place to stay, corporate meeting, conference & others. Must visit Green Nest Resort, Kotagiri, Tamilnadu. Thank You

An excellent resort to stay in. It's a calm n quite place. The rooms are nice and have views of tea gardens. Food is good, small kids play area as few indoor games. The best part is going on trekking in tea gardens which is very ycomfortable as path being laid out. The only drawback is the road is not laid out properly for last 3-4 mins of stretch to reach the resort. The road is pretty steep in beginning rest all great.
