Bromo Seruni Astungkara Homestay

We cannot recommend this guesthouse. Nobody knows Seruni locally. The house is called ASTUNGKARA - We were initially assigned a broom cupboard, although we had booked a twin bed, but only a king bed. After complaining and receiving dirty looks, we were given another room. No towels or toilet paper. We then organized that ourselves. Nobody was there. Apparently because it was a Hindu festival. - The bed linen was new but dirty. On the second night, a couple from France arrived. Nobody told them or showed them where to sleep. We "assigned" them a room. There was no coffee or tea either. The French couple complained the next day and had to endure dirty looks from the owner. English skills = zero - communication impossible. There is also an agency that is behind the booking. We spoke to Evie on the phone, she tried hard and told the owner what she thought. But she didn't get any further either. For 30 EUR per night, you can expect more. Service here is zero. So under no circumstances should you stay here, even if this guesthouse is the one closest to Bromo.
