Great location and nice prices. Wonderful view from the top floors. The walls are not thick enough to block your noisy neighbors though.

Consistently good standard, rich breakfast, convenient transportation, quiet and comfortable room without interruption. The hotel staff is warm and polite, and can check in early after discussion.

The room is small, the facilities are very simple, the hotel is very small, the facade is not easy to recognize, the front desk also collected a deposit of USD 150 when checking in, and said it would be returned and I would wait and see in two days. The location is good, just across the street from Times Square and Broadway, and not far from Central Park and other attractions.

Had a brilliant experience here. For such an affordable stay the quality was excellent, the room was lovely, clean and cosy and the services offered were great - kitchen, lounge, computer/library area and laundry room. They also have activities like movie nights which is such a great bonus. The staff were extremely kind - especially Yari - who helped my friend and I when we missed our bus. We really felt taken care of. The location is also great and well connected with a subway station a few minutes away and it felt safe walking home at night. I couldn't believe we found this place and that it was as good as it seemed, especially for NYC! I would highly recommend staying here. The West Side YMCA is definitely a no frills place to stay, but the location is excellent. You're right next to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Times Square is an easy walk south. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first had a bunk bed and was quite small, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. It also had a small TV and fridge. We had a semi-private bathroom, which was down the hall. This meant we had to scan our key on one of the bathroom doors to get in, but once inside we had privacy while we got cleaned up. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were able to upgrade the second half of our stay to a room with a larger bed and an in room bathroom. Again, this hotel is no frills. It can be rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym, the pool, the sauna, and stuff like that, but they looked nice. I'd recommend the West Side YMCA. If you're visiting NYC, you should be out doing stuff, not sitting around the room. It was everything we needed it to be.

Excellent customer service especially Marvin and Linda easy walk across the h e street to bus. Approximately 20 minutes to NYC. Then 15 minutes to Times Square. Beds very comfortable and room very clean. Safe area.would highly recommend.

The cafeteria offered a delightful selection of freshly baked goods and various beverages, making it a pleasant spot to unwind. While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped. The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience. Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff. Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city. The location of the hotel is convenient for entry and exit. The front desk staff has a good attitude. The hotel environment is good and breakfast is included. Coffee is available 24 hours a day on the first floor. The room is not large and the sound insulation is average. In the middle of the night, the sound of water and sounds outside the corridor can be heard.

My wife and I stay at this hotel after every Jets game. The staff are very friendly & accommodating especially Nimita. As the title states this is our home away from home and we are treated like family.

The hotel Is very modern and clean but the pool did not open until 3pm and closed at 9pm. This was very disappointing because the pool looked nice. Also the gym closed at 9pm. The staff were not customer focused and not very helpful. They looked irritated when we asked them a question. The parking fee is also too high and should be cheaper. If they change the parking and pool rules and teach their staff to smile and be pleasant I would consider staying again but if not, I probably will not stay their again.
