Windsor Han-Guan B&B

The owner of the inn was incredibly kind and even gave us sightseeing recommendations in Japanese after we arrived. The family room was spacious enough for our family of four to relax comfortably. Just a heads-up, there are steep stairs to get to the room, so those with mobility issues should be cautious. We enjoyed the old-world charm of the room, and breakfast on the terrace with a great view was absolutely fantastic!

We had a room with a beautiful terrace, and in the morning, we enjoyed a relaxed time there, gazing at the sea. The staff spoke excellent Japanese and kindly gave us detailed recommendations for Jiufen's best spots and restaurants that stay open later, which really helped us make the most of our time in the town. Since Jiufen has many stairs and luggage can be a hassle, they even picked us up by motorbike, which was truly excellent service. We did notice a slight odor coming from the drain, but we figured it might be due to Jiufen's general sewage system. The room cleaning was perfectly fine. Overall, staying here for this price is incredibly good value.

The owners were super nice and very helpful, providing great recommendations for places to see and travel directions. The room itself was very unique, featuring a cute enclosed sunroom on top of a nice balcony, offering a great view of the ocean. The location is very convenient, near bus stops. The owner even helped take our luggage down to the bus station without us even asking! The free breakfast was great and healthy. I would definitely stay here again if I travel to the area and highly recommend it.
