It was confusing to figure out how to get to hotel from the restaurant across the street. I walked to the first building and saw sign that said lobby but not that you had to take elevator. Front desk lady gave directions saying that I was in the wrong building and I had to go straight past the pool to the other side. I was not following her- it was dark- as she was telling me how easy it was and sort of laughing at me. I broke down crying that my parents are across the street and my Dad has Alzheimer's and I don't know how to give him the directions. She was super nice and walked over to our car, helped my dad out of the parking lot which was tight and to the suite building front door. Very appreciated! Close to Newport and the Playhouse.
Getting to the room was a bit confusing as we had to go through a door but it was not labeled with room numbers or an arrow. We also had more lightswitches than lights and it was very dark by the door which was difficult for my Dad who uses a cane. Beds were comfy. View was ok- looked more like a pond than the beach but it was rainy and foggy. I know the app is supposed to be helpful as a key and to order, but it wasn't. Ordered room service and my order was wrong. Parking was confusing (we seemed to always be going in the exit). Sorry to be so critical but I'm sure the place is a lot nicer in the summer. As my Mom said, we are not used to boutique hotels- we usually stay at chains like Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, etc.
