Palazzo Turchini

Naples|0.03km from Palazzo Fondi
I recently stayed 5 nights here and my experience didn't match that of the other reviews who have recently written in English. I noticed the reviews in Italian tended to be more critical. Here are my pros and cons on the property: Pros: -- The location is convenient. It's just off the Piazza Municipio and only a half block from the Municipio metro station. It's within easy walking distance of the harbor, the Maschio Angioino, the Teatro San Carlo, and the Pallazo Reale. It's a longer, but still pleasant, walk to the sights along Spaccanopoli. I'd recommend riding the Metro to the short distance to the Archeological Museum. Note that the hotel is on the via Medina which is a very busy street. My room was at the back of the building so it was very quiet. The rooms at the front might get the street noise. -- The staff are welcoming. Everyone to whom I spoke was friendly and helpful, especially the nice lady in the breakfast room who made sure I was well supplied with cappuccino. -- Breakfast, on the whole, was quite good. There were cereals, breads, pastries, cold meats and cheeses, as well as freshly prepared fruit salad. The spread was adequate, if not elaborate. The coffee was excellent. Cons: -- I had a junior suite that was rather tired. There were scuffs on the walls and some mold in the shower. I pulled out one of the nightstands to use the plug behind it and found a layer of dust that looked like it hadn't been disturbed in several years. The room looked superficially clean, but overall the housekeeping left something to be desired. -- There was an odd musty smell coming from the air conditioning vent. I noticed the smell went away if I turned off the air con. However, I frequently needed to run it to counter the heat and humidity of the climate in Naples. I've been a frequent visitor to Naples in the past. I planned this visit at relatively short notice for high season, so the hotels where I have stayed in the past were booked full. This was my first visit to this hotel. It will probably be my only stay here.

Very satisfied with our stay, we were welcomed by the owners and were given instructions on how to access the building. San Martino Apartment was very spacious and had complete amenities (kitchen/microwave, washing machine, Netflix). Owners were also very responsive to whatsapp and address all concerns promptly. Location is great as well, few steps to Toledo and other historical sights

The location is really good, between the old city and the new city, can be reached on foot, a few steps away from the shopping center, but the room is small, the most dissatisfied is the basin and shower room, the water is blocked, there will be water for a while, to Slowly infiltrated, the hair is used for one minute due to overheating, and the power is turned off. It takes 3-4 minutes to cool down before working, then blows for one minute and then loses power. Basically, it is impossible to blow the head. The whole room and bathroom (especially the bathroom) are not very The feeling of clean, the faucet is rusty, the overall feeling is uncomfortable in this hotel.

The hotel is not easy to find in a dilapidated warehouse building. It is not as big as a picture. The hygienic condition is general. Even three unidentified clothes are found in the closet. . . Look out from the room window as shown. .

We are very happy about choosing this hotel. It is in a very good location, near port, museums, other must see places. We love that hotel is very well secured. Room was very comfortable and clean. Chambermaids changes towels every day. Very good conditionier and also good TV, which we did enjoyed by listeting to italian music. We had breakfest and it were really good. Highly recommended!🤗

We were in this hotel two weeks ago, through the agency we had only booked the night, even because we didn't want to give up pastries, graphs, bladders, rhines, capresi and Paris. It was offered to take coffee even if we took it only the first day to not take advantage of it; it is a little old three stars, so you don't have to have too many claims. The room is open and there are no dressing or boards in the bathroom to support anything. One thing that has a little hurt me, but it is not the hotel's fault, it is the smell of smoke that was at some time felt in the corridors, but we were still satisfied. The location is excellent for visiting Naples, two steps from the Beverello mole, the Municipality, the Spanish Quartiers and the Plebiscito Square.
