We stayed one night at the Monster Village. There were shops and food stalls around the hotel rooms. The rooms were clean and we had a balcony on the second floor overseeing the village street. Our room booking included breakfast buffet 7 am - 9 am, typical ********* breakfast items like porridge and noodles. There were multiple live performances which was pretty entertaining, but most of the activities are geared towards younger kids my tweenagers. There is a specialty Nettles bread that everyone waited in line for a fresh batch. Overall it was a fun experience and good photo spot!

Great location near the XiTou Forest & Nature Preserve. The comforter has heater, good for cold weather, and two big beds are comfortable. Interior decos are very basic and neat, but not equipped with a pen. Be prepared to climb the stairs for staying at University Building, but is still a nice place to stay for visiting XiTou. They provide good food at the buffet dining.

The location of the hotel is very close to ** Village. The shower head in the bathroom has strong water jets. The breakfast is very rich and vegetarian food is also provided. Although the room has some signs of age, it is still quite clean. I will stay again next time~

I checked in on a weekday. The service staff's attitude was not bad. They were bland and unenthusiastic. The room was not bad. You can see the mountain view from the window. It was great. Because I like Xitou very much, I often stay in Xitou for mountain climbing. I originally wanted to say that the hotel would be better if Itโs good, so I donโt have to look around anymore. I just choose this hotel to stay. However, the attitude of the service staff made me give up the idea, but if you donโt mind the attitude of the service staff, I still recommend giving it a try๐๐

The location is good, 5 minutes' drive from Xitou Nature Education Park, and parking is convenient. There is an elevator in the store, and the most unexpected thing is that there is a hot and cold water machine in the room, which is very convenient for making tea and noodles at night (unfortunately, only paper cups are provided, it would be better if glass cups could be provided).
The view from the room was average, it just faced a bunch of trees and mountains and not the driving road, but it was very quiet and the room was clean.

The surrounding environment is really great! Like in the forest, I booked a promotional room with two beds. I was worried that the single bed was too small, but it turned out to be two large beds. There is also a small wooden bathtub in the room, which is very comfortable. There are green trees and air outside the hotel. It's very fresh and great. Although the facilities inside are simple, they have everything you need. Except for the fact that there are no disposable daily necessities according to the regulations, the space is very large. The room on the third floor is really comfortable with the morning sunlight and fresh air! It also comes with breakfast for two guests, which is simple but clean and tidy, which is great!

The environment is excellent and suitable for a place to relax on vacation. You can see the careful finishing and ingenuity everywhere. It is very good to take pictures. There are hot spring fish to experience. The room is very clean and bright. On the same day, you can book a full dinner and delicious. There is a dinner service (an additional charge is required). I will stay again next time.

Although the hotel is located high and far away, the environment is quiet and the air is clean. There are snack and vegetable shops near the hotel. The meals in the hotel are delicious! It is considered authentic food!
There is also Bunun bamboo tube rice. On the first day we checked in, we had Shaojiu chicken for dinner!! Like it!!!

The owner of the B&B is a very nice person and makes you feel very comfortable.
When I enter the store, the boss will buy me a cup of tea๐ต. Then I have a lot of transportation questions to ask the boss, and the boss patiently helps me with my inquiries and gives me opinions. His attitude is really not too good. I remember that when I arrived early, I left my luggage at the front desk before check-in time. When I came back, my luggage had already been sent to the room. The boss also taught me how to use the TV ๐บ He was really very attentive
The hotel room is quite large, and the facilities are very new. There is a hot water machine. The owner said that this may be the newest B&B on this nearby street. There is an Internet TV in the room where you can watch YouTube and so on. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry!
There are all shops and restaurants nearby. The location is like a small town. Many shops are concentrated together. If you want to take the bus, it is only a 2-minute walk, which is very convenient! Then, the B&B sells Sun Moon Lake ferry tickets, which are quite cost-effective. Itโs cheaper than buying them yourself.

But the next day I got up and the amazing beauty came into sight. In the morning, insects and birds called the mountains and mists. KkohKengLocation: Excellent! It is located next to the ticketing office and hence, easier to buy boat ticket. We are lucky to get a complimentary upgrade to a four bedder and it faces the lake. It was beautiful. There are a lot of eateries and shops selling local delicacies so not too worry about meals.

GGuest UserEnjoyed my stay here. The service was extremely good, the reception very kindly recommended us places to visit. The hotel sells bicycle rental voucher with papago (bike rental shop) at a discounted price of NTD 100 for a full day rental (8am to 5pm) and also round trip boat ride tickets at NTD 250. Hotel rooms are clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast here starts at 8.30 to 9.30 and it was simple but good.
The hotel is about 6 minutes away from the bus terminal in Shuishe Visitor Centre. It's recommended to think twice before booking if you have too much luggage as you have to walk by the roadside (no pedestrian lane). Also, the hotel reception is located separately from the hotel so be prepared to walk about 3 minutes to your room. Note there's quite a steep slope here to the rooms and there are wooden planks you have to pull your bag over. The nearest 7 Eleven is also at the Visitor Centre so you have to walk out there.

GGuest UserThe best part about this hotel (ๅฝๆฐ่ณ้คจ) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel.
The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests.
The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located above the Sun Moon Lake. The view is fantastic. We booked one lake view room and one room facing the mountain. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is a bit old. The water pressure of the bathroom is very low, thus it took a long time to take a bath. The water pipe of the water basin is a bit long, it is easy to hurt your eyes if you were careless. The room lights are a bit dim while the sound of the air conditioning is quite noisy. Food varieties of breakfast is good but lack of staffs to refill the foods. You wouldnโt have much to eat if you come to breakfast lately say after 9.30am. The hotel has two car parking spaces. It is convenient and free of charge.

JJack MaaโFor Non-Drivers: Navigating Transportation Can Be Tricky, but Exceptional Service and Spectacular Views Awaitโ
If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns.
On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system.
One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Shuian Lakeside Hotel for 2 nights, and the hospitality throughout our stay was the best that I've ever experienced. Everyone at the hotel was amazing, most especially the owners. Mrs. Hwang, I believe is her name, was one of them, and she went above and beyond. She was very accommodating with our request to change our room when we first arrived. The next day, when she found out we were heading to Wenwu Temple, which would take 20 minutes by bus, she offered to drive us since she was heading that direction. Later that night, she and her husband took the time to help us figure out which early bus to take in order for us to make our connection to Taichung Station. When we asked where the bus stop was, she went a step further to show us by taking us there personally! The hotel's location was perfect โ by the lake and in the center of everything. The room was new, clean and comfortable. And what a bonus, breakfast was included! I was very pleased with the breakfast, which consisted of porridge, eggs, vegetables and 6 other dishes. Bananas were also provided. It kept us full till late in the afternoon. I enjoyed staying in Ita Thao, and Mrs. Hwang definitely made it special and memorable. I appreciate her warmth and kindness. If you're looking for a good hotel and people, I definitely recommend Shuian Lakeside Hotel.
