It’s lucky that I choose this hotel coz it’s strategically located near the shopping area and Swiss garden, walking to sheep farm and skywalk to grassland too. The hotel even provided free tickets to there. There’s some eating places nearby, but if you want go to other restaurants, have to take bus since the transportation there quite inconvenient

Because the room was not full, the hotel took the initiative to upgrade the room for me. It was a very large room and very comfortable.
The only thing is that the temperature was very low that day, and there was no heating in the room. We only relied on the electric blanket on the bed, and the quilt was a bit thin, so it would be difficult for the body temperature to return to comfort. It would be much better if there was heating.
Then the water dispenser in the corridor was not plugged in....

Minsu located near to hot spot town area - where u can get to 7-11 and others restaurants/fast foods, and Swiss Garden.
The room is great with splendid view from window and balcony.
My only issues - rare there is no toiletries provided other than body and hair shampoo, hair conditioner and body lotion. Fortunately there is 7-11 nearby. The last thing I need is to spend $ for such simple thing, which should be provided in the room.
Another issue I had is the path to building is covered with feeble stones and lots of staircase. Obviously, this minsu is for lite travellers. If you carry heavy luggage, well, good luck carry it till you reach your room floor 😓
Owner need to think about travellers with heavy luggage as the path is not user friendly 😉

Spring Ground Hotel is in good Location and close about 5mins drive to CingJing Farm. If you take Nan Tou Bus, you can drop off at Shou Ting Bus Stop, it will be just 1min walk to the Hotel. It's very convenience. Hotel's scenery and hotel itself is very Beautiful. In early of Nov, The weather is so nice. Day time is ok around 25c and Night Time around 15-18c. There is no need for air conditioner. Hotel Breakfast is just ok. If you want to go to CingJing Farm or small market, you can inform the hotel staff, they are nice to help you. Hotel also have a good Mala Hot Pot restaurant. Restaurant need you to order at least 1set per person but the price is reasonable and very good tasty. We are all happy staying here.

I really had a great time during this trip to Cingjing, Nantou. When I checked into the hotel, the staff provided excellent service and were very enthusiastic. The dinner and breakfast meals at the hotel were super delicious. The scenery in Cingjing is beautiful, the air is clear, and it is really comfortable. It is worth recommending. To everyone.

”For Non-Drivers: Navigating Transportation Can Be Tricky, but Exceptional Service and Spectacular Views Await”
If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns.
On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system.
One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.

The owner of the B&B is a very nice person and makes you feel very comfortable.
When I enter the store, the boss will buy me a cup of tea🍵. Then I have a lot of transportation questions to ask the boss, and the boss patiently helps me with my inquiries and gives me opinions. His attitude is really not too good. I remember that when I arrived early, I left my luggage at the front desk before check-in time. When I came back, my luggage had already been sent to the room. The boss also taught me how to use the TV 📺 He was really very attentive
The hotel room is quite large, and the facilities are very new. There is a hot water machine. The owner said that this may be the newest B&B on this nearby street. There is an Internet TV in the room where you can watch YouTube and so on. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry!
There are all shops and restaurants nearby. The location is like a small town. Many shops are concentrated together. If you want to take the bus, it is only a 2-minute walk, which is very convenient! Then, the B&B sells Sun Moon Lake ferry tickets, which are quite cost-effective. It’s cheaper than buying them yourself.

PPEASHOOTSThe hotel was beautiful, about 50 meters from the pier as you get off the boat. The hotel staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. Our room was available before our check-in time which was really handy and the room was incredibly clean and spacious.
The staff do go above and beyond to ensure your stay with them meets your needs and will aid in organising transport that fits in with your itinerary.
We’ve never stayed in a hotel where it felt the staff genuinely cared about our time spent in their area. After worrying over how to get from Sun Moon Lake to our next destination, the hotel staff helped plan our bus routes, arrange a taxi service and called us in the morning to ensure we were up for the very early bus we needed to catch.
Ita Thao in our opinion is the best side of the lake to stay, everyone is very friendly and the street food is much better. In addition the cable car service is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, which takes you to the beautiful Aboriginal Village and theme park. Boat rides, paddle boats, kayaks, bikes, electric scooters are all a stones throw from the hotel and a 15 minute cycle from Wenwu Temple.
We did in-depth research into all the accommodation around the whole of Sun Moon Lake and we can say for certain, this hotel is perfect.

TTravel_with_soo_yanI travelled with a group of friends and stayed at a 6ppl family room at Euro Country Villa. The view from the room balcony was stunning! I feel very relaxed seeing such a pretty view in the early morning when I wake up and the room was as spacious as expected. Although there is no air conditioning (but I saw heating available) available, I don't think it's needed anyway given it's quite windy and cool at night even in summer.
During check-in, we were told they served both afternoon tea and breakfast. Breakfast is good with simple food, I didn't have a chance to enjoy their afternoon tea but I heard they served tea and cookies.
Just one reminder - If you do not drive like me, it will take you ~10 mins walk (＜15mins if you have luggage on this sloped unpaved road) from the nearest bus station/convenience store. Might not be the most ideal if you carry very bulky heavy luggage. That said, you might still find it worthy seeing this stunning view when you get up.

The balcony view overlooking the lake was absolutely stunning—a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of the surroundings. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and well-maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. The peaceful atmosphere and excellent service made this a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserEnjoyed my stay here. The service was extremely good, the reception very kindly recommended us places to visit. The hotel sells bicycle rental voucher with papago (bike rental shop) at a discounted price of NTD 100 for a full day rental (8am to 5pm) and also round trip boat ride tickets at NTD 250. Hotel rooms are clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast here starts at 8.30 to 9.30 and it was simple but good.
The hotel is about 6 minutes away from the bus terminal in Shuishe Visitor Centre. It's recommended to think twice before booking if you have too much luggage as you have to walk by the roadside (no pedestrian lane). Also, the hotel reception is located separately from the hotel so be prepared to walk about 3 minutes to your room. Note there's quite a steep slope here to the rooms and there are wooden planks you have to pull your bag over. The nearest 7 Eleven is also at the Visitor Centre so you have to walk out there.

PPgzdA hotel with great views and facilities. The room is spacious, but the price we paid per night draws disappointment when we noticed the state of cleanliness of the room. The curtains were dusty, window corners has webs and the most disappointing was the bathtub that has mould and dirt in it. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect location to stay in Sun Moon Lake area !

The counter and the lady boss are very kind. The Chinese breakfast is simple but very delicious. CCYY1111I booked Lake View Quad 1 Room 2 Nights. Inside the room two large double beds were placed side by side on one side of the room, leaving a small passage to place your luggages and to move within the room. The two beds were sufficient for 4 pax. But the beds were so close, there was no walking space between them. One can only get out of the bed via the foot of the bed. This is not ideal for senior people who may need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. So if you are travelling with seniors, take the twin / double room instead. The savings is not worth it. Plus the room has really limited space for 4 adults to be moving around.
The plus point for this hotel is that it has an amazing view of the lake and there are many shops along the street. Do note that the walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours next door, especially if they sat at the balcony. There was no shower curtain so the whole toilet was wet after our shower. We didn't use the tub as it was not easy for the seniors to sit inside. No amenities except Shampoo and Body Soap.

GGuest UserNice guesthouse on Ida Thao side of the lake. Note the place is not a manned desk so you go to the hot pot shop to the left of the guesthouse (I found this out from reading other reviews as we weren’t sent any check-in info in advance) and they will check you in. Be aware if you are getting into SML from elsewhere by bus and you arrive after about 5pm it will be difficult to get to Ida Thao as the bus terminal is the opposite side at Shuise and the last ‘round the lake bus’ leaves at about 5pm and it’s not walkable. We got a coach from Taipei which broke down so we weren’t able to get to SML until almost 9pm and actually had to book somewhere in Shuise last minute instead for the first night. Trip.com says this place has a ‘taxi booking service’ however this isn’t the case when we enquired. The actual guesthouse is nice, spacious and just next to the food street and few mins walks to the pier.
