The location is very good, very close to the lively area. It is really comfortable to take a bath in your own room. The room is quite clean! I slept well~ But some corners can be seen to be quite old. The breakfast is ok with many choices but not very rich. For example, there are no salted eggs in the porridge section. The replenishment speed is also a bit slow. I tried two scrambled eggs. I haven’t seen any supplements after three times. I think Taiwan’s hotel industry really needs to work harder ~ otherwise the same price will really be too different from the quality of Japanese travel!

The room is big and the same as the photos provided by the hotel listing. However, they gave us a room with a bathtub concept instead of the shower, hence, making the toilet wet when showering as there are no curtains. The view from the room is nice as it is facing the lake, may be able to catch sunrise if the weather is good.

The hotel has a sense of design. The location is very close to the dock shopping street. It is within walking distance. It is not close to the lake, but it is very convenient. You can walk to the bus station. There is a 711 next to it. Breakfast is a set menu with freshly squeezed juice. The room is not very big, but it is mainly convenient to stay for one night.

The good thing is that the hotel is strategically located right by the lake on the edge of the village. There is a floating dock with a location on it, where you can enjoy the view while drinking. It is a five-minute walk from the shops, restaurants and other living facilities in Yuchi Township. The hotel looks very beautiful, made of wood, the walls and ceilings of the room are also made of wood, there is a very warm and attractive feeling. Free wireless Internet is available. On the poor side, our room was obviously dirty. Several obvious spots on the beige carpet had a few large, uncomfortable-looking stains. There was a used wet towel on the floor of the shower room, which indicated that the cleanliness of the room and the level of preparation of the room were not high. We weren’t surprised to be staying in room 303 because we stayed for one night and didn’t expect the best room they could give us. The good side of the room is that the lake view is very beautiful (not all rooms can see the lake view), the bad room is that the room is just next to the lobby, so it is very noisy. So if you are staying at this hotel, I suggest you want a room a little further from the front desk. There is an indoor pool downstairs which is great if the water is warm. The water in the same jacuzzi is also very cold. This time of year this place is quite cold, especially at night, so it would be great if you could swim or soak in warm water. We didn't see a person swimming when we lived there. Now talk about breakfast: breakfast should have been from 7 to 9:30. We arrived at the restaurant at 9 o'clock and saw a smileless lady. She took our breakfast coupon and didn't say a word, and then we were the air. There was another employee at that time. A young male waiter. There were a lot of empty tables, but the tableware was not set. After a while we found that we had to do it ourselves, we looked around and found some tableware mats and knives and forks and arranged the table ourselves. Then we went to get something to eat. Although they are still half an hour away from their service, it is obvious that they will not add anything more, and now how much is how much. Because of this, we have to eat several times, like fresh fruit, juice and scrambled eggs. I walked towards the two employees, who were at a table in the corner, far from the guests, and I asked if they would add more to their meal. When you are looking forward to the general breakfast experience at a Taiwanese hotel - friendly welcome, lead you to the table, ask if you want coffee, thoughtful service, thank you when you leave, etc. - then Sun Moon Lake Lushan Forest International Hall is really funny compared to that. My wife and I have been constantly feeling the friendship and enthusiasm of the Taiwanese people during our two-week trip to Taiwan, and we are impressed and happy with this, so we will not be less impressed by Taiwan because of this unpleasant experience. However, if you want to feel the hospitality of Taiwan, I suggest you try other hotels. (Fortunately, we didn't have dinner in the hotel restaurant before, otherwise we would be disappointed twice. We went to the Regal Resort B&B 50 yards away and had a very interesting and enjoyable dinner in a garden lit by candles. The place also has guest rooms, full of artwork and tourist souvenirs. This one might also be a good choice in the area.)

Visited sun moon lake and held a small bday party in the room. Spacious room for balloons! The room still has plenty spaces even with two of my 1.5m number balloons. Balcony is perfect for Instagram shots, better use flashlight or else the background is lighter than your face. When we visited in December, there weren't much rain so a part of the lake close to the hotel is just muddy and brown, so just adjust the camera angle and your picture will still look nice. Close to the harbour, convenience stores, and the souvenir street. It has a huge parking lot 3 min away from the hotel, rmb to bring an umbrella in case it pours mid way. Elevators large enough to fit in a family of five with suitcases. The staff was nice and check us in efficiently. Tea and snacks are provided, and rooms are clean. They locate my granny's room next to us - really appreciate this. Overall, 10 out of 10. I'll definitely stay here next time I visit Taiwan. Btw I visited back in 2020/12 not 2021/12, trip advisor didn't provide me the option to choose 2020.

The hotel is located on the sea side, the view is very nice. There is a bus station in front of the hotel. It's better to bring your own car to have the trip more convenient. If you ask for bikes, you might get the reply that it is better to rent the bike at Shuishe pier as it is too dangerous to use the road in front of the hotel. They don't seem to be very prepared for individual travellers. Breakfast and dinner are good and fresh, and you may find a lot of different dishes. The staff are friendly and kind, even if there are many who don't speak English.

Because we missed the last bus, luckily there was a car rental company owner who drove us and gave us great advice on renting a motorcycle, so we arrived at the hotel successfully. We really couldn't ride bicycles at night (the road was very dark and winding up and downhill). A double room costs 1,400 a night and includes delicious breakfast. There is also an elevator and the attractions are within walking distance. Except for poor WiFi and limited transportation time, everything else is really good.
