The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a public bath area (onsen) and a large room for equipment-storage in the basement. The location of the hotel is excellent, within 3 min's walk to ski-rental, restaurants, convenient stores, and the Akakura Onsen ski lift. The manager John is very friendly and helpful. Transportation to and from the Myoko Kogen station is included.

Beautiful setup and perfect location. Breakfast was excellent. My accommodations on the 1st floor was beautiful with traditional Japanese layout. The snow was excellent with multiple mountains to choose from and easy shuttle schedules.

Well located beside slopes and along Main Street with food options. Nice and clean rooms. One of the best breakfast place that serves amazing coffee. Friendly and enthusiastic owner who provides shuttle from the train station. Free Onsen which was always a welcome after a day on the slopes.

This hotel came highly recommended and did not disappoint. From the initial booking onwards, John was superb. Pick up from the station, adjusting the bed arrangements, free shuttle to neighboring slopes ... really thoughtful care of guests. There is an onsen in the basement which is a treat after a day skiing, plus a room to store ski equipment overnight, and washer/dryers for use. A small convenience store across the street so you can get supplies for snacks or making your own breakfast. A short walk to several eateries. Ski rental shop right next door, and 5 mins walk to the nearest lifts. Would absolutely return.

Epic Stay at The Address! What an absolute gem! The Address in Niigata was hands down one of the best stays I’ve had in Japan. The owner’s hospitality was next level—he even picked us up from the station! The rooms were spotless, the food was unreal (brekkie and dinner were spot on), and his own branded sake was a ripper. Perfect location too—just a short stroll to the ski lift. After a big day on the slopes, the onsen was pure heaven. If you’re heading to Niigata, do yourself a favour and stay here. Can’t wait to come back!

John always works hard to make our experience easy and enjoyable. We have been coming to Akakura for many years, John makes it feel like home. The apartments are perfect for families, the location is in the middle of the “main *****”, the Onsen clean and correct the correct heat. I recommend the property, John and his team. After six drinks has become an institution.

We had a fantastic stay here. The beds/doona/pillows are comfy as. the location is as good as it gets. close to the convenience store, restaurants, and most importantly ski hire and the ski lifts. John is a fantastic host. He runs a great operation. Drove us to and from the train station and took us adhoc to other ski resorts. I would definately return.

The Address has excellent spacious accommodation with great beds, huge internal bath and a small kitchenette. 100 metres or so to the lifts. John is a friendly and helpful host and offers transfer and pickup at the Myoko Kogen train station and to other nearby ski fields. I have stayed several times. Its hard to beat.
