Expect their Mother - or what passes for an adult - to act? Not on your life. Meanwhile their overindulged brats run amok. It's a shame. It ruins the ambiance of the area and Omanis are normally good at keeping their kids in check.

I stayed 5 days, but was seriously considering staying a couple days longer, this is how much I enjoyed the city but surely also the hotel. Since my travel itineraries were quite fixed I decided against it. But when returning to Muscat I will for sure try to stay at the Royal Tulip again. I personally liked the location since being close to the bus line 1 and 9, which is a big benefit. Having the Oman Avenues mall close by surely also is beneficial for quickly getting the things one needs when traveling, or just a quick bite when not in the mood for restaurants. The room was big and clean. Good bed and pillows. Very friendly and helpful staff, everywhere. And on top of it a wonderful pool area at the roof withe a great view over Muscat. Wonderful, I will be back!
