HSM Lago Park

Really pleasantly surprised at how nice it was to stay here! The staff were really lovely and the room was more impressive than the photos. Parking is a little bit annoying if you come back later in the evening but you’re never too far from the hotel.

Upon reading reviews about noise etc, we were abit sceptical about this hotel, but we absolutely loved it here! We were Staying in block two third floor and have no complaints about noise whatsoever, the apartment was perfect for us clean and spacious, the location was perfect with just a few minutes walk to shops an restaurants and about 5mins to the beach, ( you have to try the black pig, but its best to Book as it’s get booked up) the pool in block two was nice an quiet and you could always get a sun Lounger, and the reception staff were very friendly, we didn’t visit the restaurant or bar in the hotel as we ate out so I can’t comment on this, we would definitely return again!

This is a reasonably small hotel which tries to do a lot and gets most of it right. It's also priced very competitively. 200-300m from the beach, you really can't complain at all... The premium apartments are large, have a small kitchenette and we were in 1-314 which was road side but generally quiet (some other reviews complained about the noise of other bars but I think from building 2. The pools are good and were enough for my 2 year old and 6 year old. Even though it was mid August, there was never a problem getting a sunbed. There is a small play park, which seemed to attract a lot of mosquitos (our kids were covered). You can take small floats and goggles into the pool, and the pool bar serves reasonably priced drinks all day. The animation team (Alicija and Itzo) are amazing and constantly touched base and chatted with us through the day, our girls loved the mini disco nightly with the games, and for a small family hotel some of the shows were pretty impressive (especially the external lazer show and Itzo's magic card night). They also loved getting their faces painted. We went half board and the food was ok. We felt there could have been more selection (one grilled meat, one fish, one saucy dish), but they did always have pizza and pasta for the kids and 3-4 ice creams. It wasn't bad enough that we chose to eat elsewhere, but we're used to more and better quality to be honest (we put this down to you get what you pay for). I did enjoy the chorizo and eggs for breakfast but the coffee was really bad - thankfully there is a nice ice cream shop 200 m away which had good coffee and opened at 10AM (will try to review there too). We had a hire car (rental) and the hotel has 3 spaces and when these were full, you could easily park on the street. Given the price paid (one of the cheapest we could find close to the beach with all this stuff), would definitely stay again - it's a good value family break - thanks to everyone at HSM Lago Park for being a great team...

I liked this hotel. We had room 1307, so on the top floor right at the end of the corridor (so nobody walked passed our room) we had a bit of sea view, yes it was over looking the main road but we liked that as could people watch etc. I emailed before we arrived for higher floor & they honoured my request so we were happy. The hotel reception staff are all very nice & helpful. The apartment was a good size & sofa bed was king size. The beds were comfy as were the pillows. Air conditioning worked ok too, not quite as cool as I'd like it but good enough. The kitchen was more than adequate for what we needed & the bathroom was really nice. The shower was better than some 5 star hotels I've stayed in! The fact you do not need to put a towel down is awesome, I hate getting up early on holiday although you do need to get to the beach around 10.30-11.00 to get beds there! The beach is soooo nice, one of the best I've ever been too! The local restaurants are all good with really nice food.

We enjoyed our stay with two 7years old boys. Parts of the hotel (building 2) are a bit dated, but all over we had a great stay. Food and drinks good, both pool areas well maintained and the entertainment for kids and adults was great. Kids loved Itzo and Alicia the animators. They put a lot of effort into their work and they are doing a great job.

Great accommodation if you want something simple. 5 minutes from the beach. Apartment clean and cleaned 5 days out of 7, and cleaned well. Modern with big balcony. Our balcony faced directly onto the main road which did make it noisy. I sleep well but wouldn't be great for a light sleeper. Could have done with a few more glasses and cups, there was 4 of everything. Pool area was clean and we preferred the pool at Lago Park 2, as it was quiet, got the sun all day and spotless. Easy to get a sunlounger most days as I think most guests head to the beach. Loved this pool area and all other guests were friendly. Chilled atmosphere probably ruined by noisy kids. The main pool area was nice but the surrounding area could do with a bit of TLC. Just needs a bit of updating and perhaps to be separated a bit from the main road. Also the cafe next door with the go karts looks a bit dated, don't know if it's part of the same group but I think if they worked together they could create a fantastic pool and entertainment area - maybe even just a lick of paint. Similarly the shopping mall below Lago Park 2 just feels a bit deserted and odd. Maybe because a lot of the shops were closed. Animation staff were excellent. Kids loved the games and mini disco. Didn't eat in the restaurant but tried to eat at the pool bar on the first day. They had no gluten free options other than salad, and my 4 year old daughter is Coeliac. However, the Swan which is less than 5 minutes walk away because our lunch time venue as it was excellent for gluten free options. Staff all excellent and very helpful, both at pool bar and reception. We read reviews before we came and knew what to expect. Would love to give it 5 stars but was just missing something for me, but still a very solid option for a low cost break with good staff and in a good position.

We arrived and they put us in a room that was a long way from the photos in the Booking publication. The kitchen appliances were rusty, the walls were marked, the bathroom was damp, and the sofa was broken and dirty. At that point we presented our claim to the front desk and were informed that there were several people in the same situation and that we would probably have to wait a day or two for a "better" room to be released. After complaining several times and talking to the manager, we managed to get them to move us the next day to a room that was at least a little better (no humidity in the bathroom). Hoping to have a slightly more normal stay, unfortunately at night we found that the smell of food from other departments spread to the adjoining rooms due to the air conditioning. When we complained about this, the only thing we got was that they provided us with a room perfume to cover up the smell that was repeated every day. As for the food, it was an average experience. We had booked half board, and found breakfast to be the same every day, while dinner varied in some component but was generally quite repetitive as well. In summary, our stay was mediocre.

We had a very nice stay for 13 days. The rooms are big enough and equipped with everything is necessary. The HSM team was great. They were all the time very helpful and friendly. They take care to make you feel at home. The service at the buffet was excellent, entertainment was great for kids and adults and reception was always ready to help. The hotel is very well located, only 300 meters from the sea in the nice sandy beach at Muro, near Alcudia. The beach is very nice and perfect for families. As well the town, Muro, is well located. There is plenty of activities you can do taking the hotel as base point. It's only 45 mins to Palma but also going north and south. The swimming pool is not very big but it was great fun for the kids. There are 2 of them, each located in a different building. The kids enjoyed a lot and spent hours swimming and playing (which was very limited las year in a 4 stars hotel). You always find available sun loungers to relax and enjoy a beer or cocktail at the pool bar. Prices are moderate. We also used once the laundry facilities. It was comfortable and quick. Helped us to reduce the amount of clothes having to bring with us. The food itself was good. Sometimes the meet was a little overcooked, therefore we preferred to eat more fish. Variety was fine, I would say in-line with the expectations for a 3 stars hotel. The coffee-experience (but this is kind of normal in every hotel nowadays) could have been better. Wine selection was good and with fair prices. The hotel only has 3 parking places. However it's normal to find a place in the surroundings. We never spent more than 5 minutes looking for it and never parked more than 200 meters away. As a con I would mention that in general some parts, mainly in the rooms, need a face-lifting. We can understand that during COVID and the lower presence of customers some costs have been reduced. However I wish they can invest in some re-furniture and reparations in the rooms as it seemed the hotel was full each day. We will definitely consider coming back if we opt for Mallorca within the upcoming years. It was really nice! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing staff, they went out of their way every time - from super helpful and friendly reception, animators, bar staff and the cleaners. Exceptional air conditioning all over the building, bringing you an amazing relief from scorching hot temperatures. Not too expensive prices comparing to other places, gorgeous hot dogs with chips and nachos for only 7 euro! Great fun for both adults and kids with Alicja and Itso during darts, cards, aqua gym, magic shows, riffle shooting and many more... More than happy with our stay, highly recommended!
