Booked this hotel due to attending a family party nearby then flying off on holiday and so glad I did. Lovely hotel with great amenities especially the spa, lovely treatments. What makes the hotel - the staff, they are so welcoming, polite and can’t do enough for you. Thank you for a very relaxing stay 😊

Booked this hotel because the hotel in kelso we had booked was bad so needed somewhere to stay for the night. So glad we picked this hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Everything and everyone was brilliant. Will definitely use again if in the area.

Very close to the highway, just turn down. Stop by and the hotel is very comfortable overall. Many locals go to the lobby bar to drink and chat at night. Very clean, the room is large and very comfortable. The dinner is delicious, and the English breakfast is average. I came from China, so I can only say it's average. If you are tired from the journey, it is very pleasant to take a rest here.

We had a better than anticipated stay with the hotel has relatively new interior with welcoming staff.
It was a good value choice with swimming pool where we drove there so the location is never the problem.
The place do feel extremely clean and the Buffett breakfast is good and well organised.
The only slight disadvantage is the water pressure of the shower is not the best.

Great hotel for a one night stay. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Leisure facilities were great. Good food at both dinner and breakfast. Hotels seems to have been recently refurbished and rooms are nicely decorated and spotlessly clean.

Great place, exactly what we needed for our roadside stop on the way from Scotland down to the SE of England. Excellent facilities- a real treat to have a swim and gym after a long drive. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful- I was erroneously charged twice for the stay due to a mix up by *******, but this was resolved quickly and efficiently by one of the receptionists at the hotel (also really refreshing in a big international hotel chain to be able to call up and speak to staff at the hotel directly, instead of an international call centre).

This is probably the best Holiday Inn we have stayed at. Comfortable room, friendly staff and good food.
It is close to both the A1 and A19 but virtually no traffic noise.
Walk through the nearby service area/filling station to the parallel road (A1068) and there are frequent and quick bus services (X9/X21/X22) to Newcastle City Centre.
Highly recommended.

For a simple one night stop, the staff was very accommodating. The hotel was very calm which was very appreciated after a long day of travelling
