I gave a one-night stay with breakfast included for Christmas to my boyfriend, attracted by the averagely positive reviews and the photos that seemed very suggestive, as well as by the proximity to home. Always keep in mind that we are talking about a 4-star structure. Upon arrival you are quite amazed by the grandeur of the structure, the beautiful garden and patio in front of the entrance and the hall itself with the grand piano and the open bar, all furnished with retro taste. Parking is covered, free and very spacious. Once we leave this initial bubble, however, the sore points begin: they tell me that the next day we would have to leave the room at 11, when in reality by email they had told me at 1pm, so that we could also use the spa the following morning. I turn a blind eye. We arrive at the room (standard) crossing a corridor with very hot and humid air (I understand that there are spas, but no dehumidifier to filter the air in the bedroom area?). Returning to the room: torn wallpaper and paintings, suffocating heat, cracks on the walls, on the tiles in the bathroom, rather hard and uncomfortable bed. Not even a bathrobe and slippers (included in the kit). The waitress knocks and hands us the bathrobes together with the beach towel (which they told me by email were not included, so we brought them from home, taking up unnecessary space in our luggage). We never received the slippers. We arrive in the spa area (poorly marked by dangling sheets of paper) passing through a dark corridor, with various semi-closed doors with a rather sinister and disturbing air from which it was possible to glimpse unmade beds and tubs for private therapies in the dim light, until we reach to the swimming pools: the environment itself is clean and also very beautiful and scenic (high ceilings, windows everywhere...), nothing can be said about this, but it certainly needs to be renovated: the pool nozzles were rusty and the intermediate area between the internal and external swimming pools was delimited by plastic sheets (such as a small window to let the dog pass through the door) which were all yellowed. Some areas had been renovated (the black ones in the changing rooms and next to the first indoor swimming pool), which made everything even stranger because it contrasted with the older part in blue tiles. The sauna on the other hand was clearly new and was much appreciated. The Turkish bath must have certainly been very beautiful originally, but it also needed to be renovated (tiles were missing, there were detached vents that left holes in the wall and here too there were yellowed plastic sheets in front of the door). I appreciated the outdoor pools, very scenic, but they also convey an atmosphere of neglect (the statues and benches of blackened white marble...). In short, the structure seems optimal and very beautiful to the eye, with great potential
