This is a really lovely hotel. It is set in a beautiful part of Spain, and one that I have not previously explored. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night on our way somewhere else, and so we did not get much time to explore. However, we will come back to this region and we will certainly stay at this hotel. First of all the good points: There's plenty of parking and there are dedicated spaces to plug in an EV/PHEV. The staff, without exception, were brilliant - kind, caring, friendly, efficient and proud of their hotel. Our room was lovely and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and beautiful views. The bathroom was well stocked with useful amenities. Dinner in the restaurant was magnificent, especially the traditional lamb shoulder. So why only 4 stars? There are a few points for improvement: • the key card system for the rooms was not behaving itself and we had to get keys changed three times • for a hotel of this quality, there should be a couple of free bottles of water in the room • there was someone's stockings left on the shelf below the coffee maker I'm not a fan of baths with showers in them; I much prefer a dedicated shower but that's not something that is easily changed! And if you do come to stay here and want to use the spa facilities, bear in mind that they are small and so need to be booked in advance.

This hotel has been beautifully crafted and in a very gorgeous location. The views are spectacular and it is a great base for exploring the region. Unfortunately, I had planned to spend a lot of time with my book in my room overlooking this amazing view (and expected to do this as picture of the room booked indicated), and instead the room had a window the size of a large book (and skylights to let in light). Room was small & lovely but the view was the reason we chose the hotel so this was disappointing. I also don't love a bathroom that has a glass entry door and no privacy. Bath itself was lovely and bed was comfortable. The other issue was the heating - the heating did not work well enough to cool the room (being at the top of the building it is probably the warmest room) and I had to sleep with a wet towel on me to make it through the night. You don't expect this at a 5 star hotel. Bring your own tissues too as these aren't provided. Breakfast was okay but hectic and staff frazzled and unfriendly, but the reception staff were just lovely and very helpful. Welcome glass of wine was a lovely touch, and it truly is a beautiful property.

3 night stay in July during a heatwave, 2 adults and a 3 year old. Half Board. We had an excellent time at this hotel which I found hard to fault. Lots to see and do, and plenty of places to relax as well. Starting with the room, we had a Super King size bed, and our son was on a separate Single-size sofa bed against the wall, between which there was plenty of room to come and go. Lots of room for luggage, and a good sized bathroom with a private toilet and hidden bath (accessed through the shower). The room was the perfect blend of contemporary design and historic touches and with great views - super luxurious. The only issue we experienced was A/C that was not able to get the room below about 24C, not a big deal except my wife was 6 months pregnant so did feel it - and in fairness it was a heatwave with outside temps well in excess of 30C, the staff provided an air cooler / fan that did help somewhat. The grounds are stunning, lots of shady places to sit to observe the incredible vistas, the landscaping and plantings are lush and neat despite the dry climate, the pool was a real highlight - the perfect way to cool down in the heat. The on-site service was excellent, beers on tap by the pool, sandwiches in the lounge, gin & tonics on the lawn - all delivered promptly and with great service. Staff mostly multi-lingual with good English. The restaurant was above expectations, and the half board is very generous with no hidden extras except alcohol. The Spanish wine menu was excellent and reasonably priced, we had 3 different bottles all lovely particularly the Granacha blends. Highly recommended and would happily stay again.

This was a really nice hotel on so many levels. The food was fantastic. Room was very comfortable. However, the pool area was a real let-down! What's not shown is a massive blue plastic pool cover that literally blocks the spectacular view and limits the seats around the pool so there's a little war for guests to get a pool-front lounger. Due to the pool layout, which is really average, we were forced to sit in an upper grassy area that was burning hot and a walk through gravel to get down to the pool. There's a little bar that is so out of place - looks like an afterthought - where you can get a drink or chips. It would really be a wow if they created a more inspired space.

Amazing location. Staff greeted us warmly with an arrival cocktail. All the staff were so friendly, professional and helpful. Lovely seating areas spaced around the gardens overlooking the mountains. Restaurant food was very enjoyable. This is certainly the place to come if you want to unwind. Rooms are contemporary and comfortable with great views which suited us perfectly. Don’t come here if you are expecting old school classic hotel style, this is a relaxing retreat in the mountains. The outdoor pool was a bonus.

After a gruelling race at nearby Motorland Aragon we retired to this hotel for a short break. Our room was very comfortable, albeit we really dissaprove of glass doors on the bathrooms and the sinks are design over function. Plus, surprisngly there are no TV's in the rooms. The Spa was the best feature of the hotel, we had the plunge pool, sauna & stem room to ourselves each day. The restaurant location was super with lovely views. Unfortunately the chef wasn't the best and there was nothing really outstanding cuisine wise. Service was good, Emma is a star in the making. There are some nice walks in the large estate like grounds and the ambience overall was pleasant.

I recently stayed there and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all our expectations. This hidden gem in the Spanish countryside offers an oasis of tranquility and indulgence, being perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation.

This is a truly beautiful hotel. From the moment you start to drive up the (very long) drive way you realise that this is going to be something special. The hotel itself has been beautifully renovated and has been designed to make the most of the stunning views that it has of its surrounding land and the mountains in the distance. The rooms are beautiful - we had a deluxe room that had been made into a triple for our daughter, but it still had lots of space - and the most amazing thing was the window with window seat to just look at the views. Breakfast was wonderful - a lovely choice of pastries; and a plate of fresh fruits and meats and cheeses delivered straight to your table. We ate in the restaurant one evening, which was truly epic - not only was the food exceptional, it was also presented and served so nicely. We also ate in the Almond Garden one evening, and that was lovely too. We had an issue with our hire car when we were there, and because the hotel is 3 hours from Barcelona airport this could have turned into a big disaster but the hotel staff were so helpful (especially Jose) and they helped us solve the problem and spoke on our behalf to the hire car company. We cannot thank him enough! If you are thinking of going to this hotel and want to explore you will definitely need a hire car, but the drive to the hotel is really beautiful and there are some stunning villages nearby which are worth visiting. If you decide to just stay in the hotel then the grounds are lovely and there is always somewhere quiet. We walked down through the vineyards one morning and ended up at the river where we went for a wild swim - truly amazing! Honestly, there is nothing bad I can say about this hotel. It was such a lovely short break for us; and we would go back in a heartbeat.
