Felicin - Palazzo Boeri Panoramic Suites

This very beautiful hotel on the heights of Monforte d'Alba is in fact the annex of the Felicin Albergo Dimora Storica, at the very bottom of the village. The almost permanent absence of staff at the Palazzo makes it necessary either to call the Albergo and wait for someone to come, or to walk down and get back up at the cost of a good sweat. You can also make this round trip by car at the risk of not finding your parking space as they are so rare. Ditto for breakfast which is taken at the Albergo. That being said, the hotel is magnificent with a sublime view, a beautiful swimming pool, large rooms, perfect bedding. In case of crowds, if you wish to dine at the Albergo, do not forget to reserve your table in advance because there are not as many tables as rooms at the Albergo and the Palazzo combined, this of which we have been victims.

Beautiful suite, very large with fully equipped kitchen (which we did not use). Very large bathroom, impeccable bedding. Perhaps a magnifying mirror is missing in the bathroom. The swimming pool is on the other hand quite small and little deep. More of a paddling pool than a swimming pool. The deck chairs are a bit tight when the hotel is full. Few parking spaces. The hotel is located at the top of a hill and is accessible via a narrow alley. Be careful when you I'll try to go up by car, it's quite dangerous. On foot it's also very sporty, but that's the particularity of this village. Almost everything is accessible only by steep paths. On the other hand, the view is breathtaking! It seems that there is an indoor swimming pool, but we were told that it was under maintenance... Breakfast is taken at the Dimora Antica hotel, which is located near the church, at the bottom of the village. The latter is correct, but you have to go there. take several times and have a lot of patience to be well served. Indeed, the service is no longer buffet, but at the table, Covid obliges. But when you are on vacation, that does not matter too much. A large part of the staff serves with the mask not fitted on the nose, which shows a lack of care on the part of the management. Fortunately the breakfast raises the rating of this restaurant a little compared to the dinner service which is horrible and of which you can read my comment separately .Price for one night with breakfast 195 euros.
