The best and certainly most comfortable Italian hotel I have ever stayed in! First off, the rooms are decorated individually in a fun, quirky way with an interesting mixture of antiques and contemporary soft furnishings. The bed was so comfortable, it was a pleasure to fall into at the end of a long day of hiking, sight-seeing or swimming. The en-suites are very good with excellent water pressure and a nice lightly scented selection of shampoos, body wash, soap and hand/body creme. The food is excellent here. Even the breakfasts are amazing. So nice to not face another boring British Fry-up. Everything is healthily portion-controlled and tastes divine. The weather was accommodating so I was able to take in breakfast in the gardens, what a way to wake up gently. The cappuccino and the staff are both excellent. I had my family who was staying elsewhere in town in for dinner at the Bistro one night and it was heaven. The food was gorgeous and the best we had the entire trip, they all enjoyed sitting in the garden drinking wine and sharing dessert and entrees. The convenience to the town and the train station goes without saying. I loved walking down the back path overlooking the church to meet up with my family. The pool was an excellent temperature and so clean, just like the rest of the hotel. Francesca and her family do a super job and I look forward to returning. Just go, you won't regret it.
