City Express Plus by Marriott Mexicali

The staff is always so friendly. This hotel is where I stay when I go to Mexicali, and the staff remembers me by name. the rooms are clean and tastefully decorated

The hotel is extremely new and really nice however there is no room service, no phone in room therefore if you need something you have to call from your cellphone to a number they provide the only problem is that they don’t answer 😄 so if you need something you literally have to go down to the lobby. I had problems logging into the WiFi 2 times during my 2 day stay therefore I had to go downstairs. The second night housekeeping forgot to leave towels therefore I had to go downstairs for that too. Also my key deactivated and I also had to go to the lobby for that. The facility is beautiful however it was very inconvenient to have to go back and forth several times.

This property was easy to find with multiple restaurants to choose from. Parking is complicated due to property structure. The down fall for me was the breakfasts. Hotel comes with continetal and i pay 9.00 per person for buffet but hotel staff didnt honor *******'s fees. Buffet breakfast is 17.00-23.00 per person.

No batteries in the safe, phone not working. Reception kept my ID, I had to drive back for 2 hours to retrieve it

I arrived before 3pm. I was able to check in but not get room keys. I arrived at 6:40is to pick up my keys. I paid for an extra adult. When I went in the room I was shocked with how filthy the room was. I asked the front Desk personal to have someone clean. She told me it would take a few minutes because she was the only one available. After about 20 min I decided to ask for my $ back. She then told me it was not possible due to the system not allowing her. I asked for other options. She said only option was to get me another room. I went to the second room and again it was dirty. She told me she would immediately go upstairs and clean it. After 40 min she asked me to check the room. She was visibly upset after I pointed out hair on the floor, dirt towels and stain on the sheets. After another 40 min the room was finally cleaned. So I went in my clean room at 8pm . Never will I stay here again. I do have to give a shout out to the sweet lady who did the extra mile to offer me and my sister coffee after she saw how upset I was. She definitely got her tip.

There was not enough parking space to accommodate each guest. And the TV service is just terrible, cable tv, really? It’s 2023. 2/5 stars.

Enjoyed our stay, but need more parking spaces and a little more continental choices for breakfast like hot cereal (oatmeal).

1- Restroom walls were dirty. Somebody whipped their boogers on the wall. Didn't see it until next day. 2- Water in the shower did not drain properly. 3- Safe in the room did not work. 4- Chair on the desk was dirty, stained and not wiped/ cleaned. 5- There was a live roach in the room that I found the next morning. 6- People did not respect the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Lound conversations and laughs outside my door after 1 am!
