Popular Sea View Hotels Mellieha, Find the Lowest Prices

We stayed on the older side of the hotel. Room smelt of damp and when we complained they came in and bleached the floors nothing else. There was only one socket in the room which kept crackling. The breakfast was average but we went up the road to Debbie’s Cafe which was great. The pool upstairs was good with nice views but the drinks were overly priced. We had a couples massage “Back, shoulders and neck”. My other half only had his neck massaged. I had all parts it felt good but later that day I experienced some horrific neck pain and felt as though a muscle had twinged. Not worth the price we paid. We went to the Thai Fusion restaurant the views were great but I wasn’t over impressed with my dish to start as is was a red curry in soup water, thankfully they took it back and the taste wasn’t so bad. Again felt it was over priced for what it was. Over all hotel was okay, but the services within were very overly priced. I also think had our room been on the renovated side we would of been more positive on our review as our room was outdated and stunk of damp.

Home from home a beautiful place to relax. Good food lovely scenery. Hotel very clean service excellent. We have been coming every year since 2008 and have booked again for 2024 (apart from pandemic restriction) Good poolside amenities, children's club and a private beach to name a few.

We recently returned to the Paradise Bay resort a year on from getting married there on the beach outside the Porto Lounge. The hotel is amazing, whatever room you have you are going to have a view either of Paradise bay with its beach and constant coming and goings of yachts and speed boats, people swimming in the clear blue waters or on the other side, looking out over the south Comino straight with all its water traffic and the ferry port with the constant activity of the ferries going over to Gozo. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, fridge and TV, although English channels are few and far between, and are well cleaned everyday. It may not be to everyone’s choice as it is a little isolated but the excellent bus service from right outside the door can take you wherever you want to be around this beautiful island and buses run every few minutes and for just 2 euros you can go to the next stop or the other end of the island, can’t fault them. The hotel has a choice of four swimming pools, three outdoor and one indoor, including a small jacuzzi, all are well maintained, clean and certainly no shortage of sun loungers. The inside public areas are clean and comfortable and the restaurant the same, however, although the quality of the food served in the restaurant is good, choices can be a little limited and sometimes we found the table turnaround was a bit chaotic, with people wandering around looking for a clean prepared table, that said we never had to wait too long and enjoyed everything we did have to eat. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the Paradise Bay resort to anyone and we will certainly be returning there in the future.

Just came back from 10 days vacation. I thought the hotel was on the beach but we need to cross a busy street to get to it. Food was great in all restaurants a la carte. Great variety of sports too. Apart from the reception and A la Carte Restaurants, the staff in majority from India does not smile at the guests and is rude. We are not sure if it is because they don't speak english or if it is cultural, but we did not feel welcome at certain bars or circulating at the buffet. Animation Team is great and friendly so it made us feel a little bit better! Reception could not find our Booking (Expedia) when we arrived and they wanted us to pay 2 days at 100 Euros before solving the problem but we refused and they finally found our names in their system after a second person looked into it... Location of the Hotel is far from Valetta (more than 1 hour of bus to get there) but is close to the Ferry that crosses over to Gozo Island (5 mins in bus). Overall not a bad choice.

Me and my husband were guests of Solana hotel and Spa for the past week and i have to say that our experience was incredible. Regarding accommodation we had a decent room which was always properly cleaned, the only problem that we faced was the thin walls from which we could hear everything going from other rooms. Regarding the food and beverage department, we had various of restaurants to choose such as the Tosca, Prickly Pear, Belini and Top Deck, where we always had a nice dining experience served by polite and kind staff, however a person who left us an impeccable impression was Sara. She always greeted us with a smile, made us amazing cocktails which shows that she is quite good at her job, we enjoyed talking to her. Overall we are satisfied with our stay in the hotel, and would definitely recommend it to others!!!

Myself and my fiancé visited this resort and it was an excellent hotel, in a lovely part of Malta. The hotel was very clean, with very nice and obliging staff who were extremely helpful. The breakfast offered a great choice of foods including continental style, cooked traditional English breakfast foods, as well as cold meats and cheeses with an array of pastries. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and lovely shower and bath facility, as well as a balcony to relax on. The resort has its own private beach area which is only a short walk away, as well as having 2 outdoor swimming pools. The housekeeping staff were extremely efficient, and always left the rooms looking fresh and new. The bar area is very welcoming and relaxing providing a good choice of cocktails at a fair price. I would 100% come back here, and although this is my first visit to Malta, so I do not have anything to compare it to in terms of other hotels in Malta, I would say that it has been a brilliant experience so far staying here and have enjoyed every minute of it

Everything was excellent. Fantastic place. Very kind staff and helpful. Food was excellent and plenty of choices. We celebrated our birthdays so the receptionist surprised us with extra upgrades. Stay 2 nights, everyone! Figure 6 (the room looks outside) is a sea-view room, just from the angle of the swimming pool. Hehe, when his sea view room is ready. From the airport to the hotel you can take a bus x1, 1,5 euros but every hour, far from the airport. A taxi from the airport is 37 Euros (40 minutes), and there is a dedicated counter for buying at the airport. The hotel has four restaurants, one Italian restaurant, (Figure 4-5) one Lebanese, and one (1-2) one is the place to eat breakfast. Breakfast has many varieties, and you can also buffet for 26 Euros in the evening. Many buses can go anywhere. The hotel is close to the ferry to gozo, 10 minutes walk, few minutes by bus. The hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools (see Figure 6). The indoors are not very good, and there are spas that are not good. There are no shopping malls around the hotel, so take a bus to mehddina, where there is a cathedral. There are no restaurants in the surroundings, and only hotels can solve it at night. There are resident singers and English songs on the second floor at night (I feel like a four-star hotel in Shanghai in the 1990s). Older couples and foreigners dance and entertain themselves. Many elderly people. There is also an activity room on the second floor, with billiards and table tennis.

Great location if like near beach with bus stops 2 minutes walk from hotel. Nice walk (long 4km and uphill) along the beach and up past the red tower with great views of Gozo to the north and lovely coastline to south. The hotel has warm indoor pool beautiful rooftop pool (little windy at the moment but good view across bay and up to well lit church. Great bar downstairs good deals also. Friendly staff throughout the hotel. Meals good at reasonable prices (cheaper than outside restaurant). Gym has easy to use equipment for a good workout. Room was well equipped and clean, my only con was TV was a little small and selection of channels was minimal. Highly recommend. Will go back again
