The most cost-effective hotel I have been to Hilton during the Spring Festival. Shangri-La and other hotels. I had a lovely stay at the Veranda Tamarin - the resort, decor, facilities and layout exceeded my expectations. The all inclusive package was very good value for money although it would have been better if there was a wrist band which signified to staff that guests were all inclusive so that we didn't have to continually sign for every drink. At weekends the music and partying from the beach was loud as the property is very nearby and obviously the resort can't control the volume of this however the bar music was also loud and could maybe have stopped at midnight rather than 2am. The restaurant and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful. On the all inclusive package you were able to eat with a subsidy in the a la carte restaurant which was good and you also got money off trips booked through the hotel which was also good value. The spa treatment (massage) I had was disappointing and also overpriced in my view.

The hotel has a good environment and facilities, but the service details need to be improved. There is a hot water bottle, but there is a lot of scale inside. I don't dare to use it. They put very few food for breakfast one can count 15 pieces on the plate and when finished they will replenished it. I didn't feel comfortable during my stay as while I eat my breakfast I can feel them monitoring me. The pictures of the pools have deceived me and my family. More customer service are needed in this place too. The only person who helped me was sanjeev for lifting my luggage when I came to the rooms. I did ask if they serve food at night they said no but I saw guests eating at night and every night I have to take my parents to eat in restaurants which is far from the beach. They do give shuttle car but on some hours and I had to take taxi sometimes.

The beach of Mao Ball really doesn't want to hold too high expectations. This is the third home in Mao Ball. We stayed two nights at Ocean Creeks Hotel, paying Rs39,000 for an all-inclusive package, and it was not worth it. At check-in, there was no bedsheet on the bunk bed. Towels smelled bad, and the bed mattress was broken on one side. Saturday morning, a loud blower disrupted breakfast, and our room wasn’t cleaned by 3 PM. The hotel was noisy and overcrowded due to day pass clients, ruining the relaxing atmosphere. We asked for hot chocolate at the bar twice, but only the manager, Brian, eventually got it for us. Poor selection of cocktails in the all inclusive selection. In the afternoon, there was no electricity or air conditioning in our room. Additionally, the minibar wasn’t refilled, and we had to ask reception. After all these issues, we decided to check out early at 9 AM on Sunday and skip the inclusive lunch as we had a bad night. We asked the supervisor if they could deduct the lunch from our Rs3,000 checkout bill. To our surprise, they only offered a Rs1,000 deduction, which we refused. We paid the full amount and left feeling frustrated and confused about how lightly our complaints were taken. The poor management and service make this hotel a definite no-go. We do not recommend it and won’t be coming back.
