This is a new type of hotel that has been well thought out. This is an all-inclusive hotel with minimal staff, so you do everything yourself except for having your luggage carried to your room. You can pay your hotel bill using a machine, but you can do so at any time during your stay. We stayed in a garden terrace view bath deluxe twin room. I like the modern Japanese style, and it's designed like a suite. Unfortunately, due to heavy rain, we were unable to use the garden terrace. You can see the garden and Matsushima from the view bath, but it is not a hot spring, but just a collection of hot water. Next time, I will use the large public bath and stay in a regular room. In the lounge, you can freely enjoy alcoholic beverages such as sparkling wine and beer, soft drinks, coffee, ice cream, and several light snacks. They don't have the best ones, but they do have some decent ones. There seems to be bar time at the counter at night. For both dinner and breakfast, you look at the menu and go to the counter to pick it up yourself. It is a style where you receive the chef's freshly prepared food on your plate. There are Western-style and Japanese-style dishes, and if you eat all of them, each will become a course. Although not the best, everything was delicious and sufficient. I also have to go to the wine cellar to get my own drinks, but it's a bit far so I don't feel like going there often. I felt that it was designed to prevent me from drinking too much. I would like to note that there were no shower caps in either the room or the public bath, and there was not enough tea throughout. Overall, it was a good hotel and I would like to go there again. Next time I would like to check in early and try the bedrock bath and massage.
