Our recent stay at No42 Guest House was very welcoming. The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived. Room was cosy, spotless and the bed was comfortable. The elegantly furnish dining/restaurant room “Pearly Cow” served delicious meals. The location of No 42 was perfect—just a short walk to the Margate beach. Highly recommended.

Delightfully stylish decor but breakfast was a sad contrast to the quality of the hotel. The advertised “freshly squeezed orange juice” was anything but being cheap carton quality. The fresh fruit salad was totally melon apart from a solitary pineapple cube and the full English included, apart from a sausage and black pudding, just half a tomato, a standard mushroom and 2 slices of streaky bacon rather than the typical and reasonably expected back bacon

Stayed at No 42 , what an amazing hotel , our room was stunning and the walk in shower was just perfect. The food and drink was fantastic, highly recommend the Ribeye Steak. The rooms are very well maintained and equipped. I will definitely revisit

What a lovely place! They had everything sorted: the food was incredible, views amazing, bathrooms inviting. Even the music in the lounge was spot on. Cocktails in the fridge, a pantry and even a rather nice spa. All within easy walking distance of the beach.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was very, very pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed with lots of attention to detail, the breakfast is exceptionally well-cooked with lots of choice and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Kevin reminded me of Mrs Rabbit in Peppa Pig - basically was happy to help with whatever job that needed doing! The spa was also a delight and the massage by Maisie was to die for. A wonderful stay, and some great nearby restaurants. Will definitely come back!

This is one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed in ! Really great location on the seafront and we had room no.8 on floor 2 which looks straight out over the sandy bay beach. Also complimentary sweets , ice cream , cakes , soft drinks included in the price of the room which are located on a vintage stand in the lobby of floor 2. Stayed an extra night as it was so great . All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful and really made us feel at home. Hope to return again soon .

Very charming beachy themed hotel. Loved our room. So many great details. Beachy slippers, robes, towels and beach bag, reading material about Margate as well as the sister hotels. Cute coffee/tea cubby. The shower was awesome. Great water pressure. The bed was comfy and the tv had so many channels! On the 2nd floor there’s a larder with chips, candy, breads, drinks and ice cream. We booked a room with a terrace overlooking the beach. So lovely. We tried to book the bike luggage pick up from the rail station however no one answered the phone or my email. Cute idea, sad we didn’t get to use.

What a find. GuestHouse hotels are amazing. Really enjoyed our stay for a few days. The rooms are excellent (particularly like the beds), the restaurant top quality and the setting perfect, right by the beach. The staff service was very good and the roof top bar (with views over the beach and sea) was special at sunset. A great place to stay and we highly recommend it.

The spa at 42 is practically their best kept secret! It’s fabulous. From the moment you arrive it’s a relaxing experience. Spectacularly curated treatment executed by a considerate therapist. She read the consultation card and created a perfect treatment experience, checking in to make certain I was happy. I couldn’t fault it. This should be the number one reason to visit and I definitely recommend booking. Nadia, thank you for a fabulous massage.
