Very friendly staff. Marathon is a good place to choose as a stopover between Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie. The Travelodge is new, clean and well furnished. No breakfast but Tim's is next door. This was our second stay and the kind gentleman at the desk welcomed us back. Marathon is on Lake Superior and you can go down to the beach from a public parking lot and experience the lake close up.
