Hotels near Black River Park, Manaus

The room was just as in the pictures, super comfortable bed and pillows. Great view from room's balcony and from the pool. There was a bit of miscommunication between the staff as to if the sauna or the jacuzzi were working (neither were). Nice breakfast variety as well.

I go to this hotel every year and I feel it is very suitable for business people. It is also convenient to take a taxi at the door. It is also close to the supermarket. It is safe to travel around. The breakfast is very rich and there are various desserts! That is, the rain forest over there will rain sooner or later! The restaurant in the hotel is also OK. The problem is that there are a lot of Chinese tourists who go after knowing it...you know...

My husband and I stayed at Ibis Budget Manaus for one night in January 2020 after an Amazon cruise. We arrived very early in the morning after disembarkation. Knowing that check-in wasn't until hours later, we'd decided to add an extra night (i.e. from the night before) to our booking so as to gain immediate access to our room. At check-in, however, the receptionist waived the fee for the full night and instead told us they'd only be charging a much smaller early check-in fee. We were very impressed by their thoughtfulness and lack of greed. The room, albeit small, was functional and contained everything we needed for a 20 hour stay. This was, in fact, not only the cheapest, but also, by far, the cleanest hotel room we stayed in while holidaying in Brazil. The complimentary wifi was excellent and streaming Netflix worked well through the wifi. We ordered dinner through Uber Eats and got cutlery from the on-site restaurant (this necessitated the use of google translate since restaurant staff did not know what ”knives and forks” meant in English.) We also stayed at another budget hotel in Manaus (Intercity Manaus), but felt that we had a better experience at Ibis. Overall, an excellent budget stay for a short duration in a fresh, modern and, above all, clean hotel.

The hotel offers decent rooms, but not anything special. Sort of the bare minimum for a 3-star hotel. However, NO ONE at the front desk or the bar or the restaurant spoke English. That's usually not a problem but when we checked out the next morning they had a restaurant charge that was not ours, and we had a miserable time trying to close out our bill. Ate at the restaurant but paid cash, so the charge was not ours. They also had a wrong name on the room. Don't know how it all got screwed up so bad but it was almost impossible for us to work it out without speaking Portuguese. Our other complaint was that we listened to a dog bark ALL night long. There were homes next door to the hotel, and even though we were on the 4th floor the dog was impossible to block out.

The hotel was excellent when it opened I stayed at almost 01 years, almost every month at the hotel, but this week I was extremely disappointed. I went to bath Monday at 8:30 a.m. and I had no hot water (the girl at the reception told me that it would take place that time) that pq people who come to work go out earlier to work. Another disappointment was coffee, which was very good until then, and there was a very reduction in gta of items and items that had were reused with old face, besides having no eggs that had until then every day. The food was made with the coast with tambaqui, which was always as shed and the banana swallowed came a 1/4 part of the pattern.People try to reduce costs but end up losing customers and unfortunately next time I will not stay in this hotel.

After our cruise ended in Manaus, we looked for a hotel near the airport to spend two nights before our 3 AM flight to Panama City. The Tryp seemed to fit our needs since it was close to the airport. Upon “check-in,” we hit a few minor issues. Others checking into the hotel received a bottle of water, we were told the water was available in our room, but they didn’t say it was at a cost. We asked about a shuttle to the airport and were told we would need to take a taxi, yet we saw a TRYP-marked van take two trips to the airport. Perhaps it was our flight time that made the difference. Once we got into the room, we found a coffee maker, but the K-cups would be charged to our room – no kettle… The K-cup machine had a leak. The biggest issue in our room was the shower: when wet, the shower floor is very slick. We needed to stay on the plastic floor mat or risk slipping in the shower. Also, there is a step down into the bathroom. Need to be careful in the middle of the night: remember to step down into the bathroom. There was no night light in the bathroom. The room did have a nice size safe and a comfortable king-sized bed, but the pillows were not very comfortable. We had difficulty adjusting the room temperature: it was either too hot or too cold in the room. The restaurant and bar are in the same building but are managed separately and you cannot charge meals to your room – the payment is made directly to the restaurant.

Taxi ride from the airport was $25 Brazilian dollars, only about a 7 minute drive. Room was clean and comfortable and as a single woman I felt safe. Taxi to downtown Manaus about $65 Brazil dollars. I am sure Uber would be much cheaper. Breakfast was a tasty buffet, would stay there again in same circumstance.reasonably priced.
