Hyatt Place Makassar

I stayed here for a two-night transit in the city and I was curious to about this first Hyatt hotels in Makasar; the staff were genuinely friendly and never hesitated to ask if everything was comfortable during the stay; security, housekeeping, f&b staff, and managers did a good job. Overall, everything is great; rooms are designed beautifully, location is perfect and convenient. Something that could be improved is when you sit at the restaurant; guests shouldn’t need to wait to ask the staff for the menu and to make orders, as well as clearing up the used plates. Ordering drinks took a bit of time as well during the evening. I was facing trouble getting small money changes at the reception, which shouldn’t be a problem. The soundproofing in the room could be improved as well.

mention your last experience to the FO so they could capture your needs / expectation (hopefully). breakfast menu was so good & all the crew in charge was very help full. A cozy restaurant area makes me feel comfort to have a little talk with my family as well as to did some remote work.

Big and cozy room. Staff, cleanliness and services are excellent. This hotel offer many foods on their resto and also offer some Makassar's authentic foods. I stayed there for a week and trully enjoyed it. Definitely will go back here again!

I had my first business trip to Makassar and really enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Place. The room and bathroom were very clean, the interior design was impressive and the location was just nice. I wished I stayed longer.

I have a long list of good things about this new hotel in my city. I may begin with the staff: super friendly, very helpful, one Papillon staf (a girl, and I felt very sorry I did not ask her name) even help my son to put on his shoes without any hesitation, you know, a toddler shoes always dirty, and she helped my son still. That’s a very big plus from me. I love the lemon grass smell on the lift, super refreshing. I love the design of the lobby, very retro yet elegant and it has game corner! The lobby staff never forget to say hello to me and family every time we passed by the lobby. The breakfast might not as many as I expected a Hyatt should be, but enough. The tastes are delicious and I may send my compliment for the coffee maker machine, not only when I have my breakfast, but also in the meeting room: never seen such thing ever in the meeting room of any hotel I’d ever been in. Ah, don’t forget about the bedroom. Very clean, very neat, the TV has so many selection of channels for you, and they have a coffee press on it! So, you do not need to worry, your coffee is free from dregs even the one you make in your bedroom. Well, my 4D3N in Hyatt Place Makassar was absolutely wonderful and I’d love to feel the experience again in the future. Good job!

The interior of the hotel is like a typical star hotel, very chic. But the building is still an inanimate object, what makes it so special is the humble staff. One thing that was definitely very special and memorable for my son, the staff surprised him on his birthday. Thanks for the birthday cake And the heartfelt little celebration🎂🥳. A simple thing that many hotels have forgotten. Salute to the hospitality of Hyatt Place Makassar. To be able to live life to the fullest, everybody has to have a standard of happiness. One of my leaders said, to be happy, everybody has to determine what things in their life that makes them happy. This afternoon on 27 February 2024, I just realized that, I found happiness just by seeing a swimming pool at Hyatt Place Makassar. On the next two days, I experienced a swimming time and felt the serenity, calamity, and tranquility surroundings the swimming pool, next to the lobby. I also enjoyed the buffet at the restaurant when having my breakfast in the same hotel. They have a variety of menus, which was surprisingly for the 4-star hotel and they’re tasteful. Can’t wait to visit Hyatt Place again in the future.

We checked in late at 9:30 pm. Our room AC did not work. Call CC and wait for the respond. Took a long time for them to respond bacause the technician went to the wrong room. After checked the AC, he informed us that we have to move to another room. Wait for a while but no respond from the hotel. We called again and they said that they were looking for room. And then they called us if we were willing to get one queen bed but we declined it. And then we wait again and after a while, we called them and told them if we were really tired and will write a bad review for them. After that they started to get hurry. The next day when we arrived at the hotel at 9 pm in the evening, our room was not cleaned. And then they offered us to clean it or move to other room. But we declined their offer because we were so tired. It is just a bad experience for us. The staff on the phone never said sorry until we got mad.
