The hotel is conducted by two business-made ladies, who made me a stick for a single trip room 140 euros, which was clearly too much. Unfortunately, in open windows, sleep is hardly thought, because in about 30 meters away the freight trains pass, if you have the room to the wrong side. It is not obvious but the hotel is in different areas eg you have to go up the lift, up a steep slope to a door and out across a bridge and up a steep incline to get to the swimming pool. My problem was even with a standard size wheelchair (67 cm wide) it could not fit out this door, I had to try and stand up on a slope while my husband folded the wheelchair to get it through and then I had to try and get back in it. Not easy on a slope and with no strength, I was clinging on to the door frame and metal railing as my daughter tried to stop me falling over. It was also tough on my husband who had to push me up the slope! The second problem was once in the shower, with help, in the wheelchair I could not reach the soaps. What they called ‘the big lift’ is not very big it fitted my wheelchair, my husband and one daughter (I have three). There was limited areas to get a drink as the bar near the swimming pool is only open after lunch and she refused to serve my husband and another lady at 17.10 as she was closing ( he had already been queuing 10 minutes). The piaggio bar was shut at 22.10 as she was closing, we then went to the main bar and he asked us if we would mind if he shut at 22.20. It is expensive to eat and drink but that’s just Switzerland. There was no air conditioning installed and no coffee or tea making facilities in the room which was disappointing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great, even with my gluten free diet. I will not be returning to this hotel due to wheelchair issues. It’s not the worst I’ve had with a wheelchair but far from the best.

Top of the line resort with an exceptional view of the Lake Lugano valley and the city of Lugano. Spa is beautiful with an extraordinary array of services, from basic massages to unique oriental treatments. Buffet breakfast includes everything one could want. Gourmet dinners that are expensive but expertly crafted. Attentive service throughout.

Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen! See ist eine Strassenüberquerung entfernt und in 8 Min Binder Piazza grande entfernt. Haben sehr kurzfristig gebucht. Beim Check In meldet uns die freundliche Mitarbeiterin ein Upgrade Zimmer mit Seesicht, da das von gebuchte Zimmer nicht mehr zu Verfügung stand. Zimmer gross und sauber, mit Tisch und Stühle, innen sowie aussen. Sohn war müde vom Wandern und durfte sein vom Hotelrestaurant zubereiteter Hamburger mit frischen Pommes im Zimmer geniessen. Das Bettsofa war komfortabel gross, das Bett selbst sehr bequem. Vielfältiges Interkontinentales Frühstück. Dank des milden Wetters sassen wir draussen. Deceptive and expensive. We were with friends for 2 nights in the hotel in July. The rooms are old and were only renovated by conditions. Furthermore, no air conditioning in the room and the sun appears to be the room all day. The room was overheated and the night was a disaster. The location is still top (bus stop before the hotel) and the breakfast is also in a normal framework. Attention: On the later night/noc no bus is going up to the hotel and you're dependent on a taxi! For us the price/performance ratio is not true, we would choose the next time for another hotel.

I had a big room with a view of the lake. Super comfortable bed. Good quiet air-conditioning. Lights, curtains all magically controlled from a dashboard near your pillow. The digital check-in needn't scare you as the friendly owner is present to help. It's five minutes' walk from a family beach on the lake, and there's plenty of very cheap parking nearby. A five-minute drive from Locarno and its restaurants, this is the ideal studio-hotel for total peace and quiet while you visit the sights of Ticino. No breakfast or official reception, but the owner is always around and is full of good advice about what to see. Free drinks in the fridge. A perfect holiday base.

Nice and modern hotel in good location with great views over the Lago di Lugano. The staff was professional, experienced and super friendly. Breakfast was always good with plenty of choice. We'll definitely stay again at Grand Hotel Campione!
