Deserves to be a five star hotel in Lyon, with friendly staff. I booked a classic room breakfast for about 1.3K a night. The breakfast was pure western style, but there was a lot of fresh fruit, which was also very cheap in Europe. The view is good, the location is good, and the subway is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. After going to the old town for dinner, I walked back to the hotel and it took 25min. Drinks in the mini bar are free (with fruit juice and cola).

Fabulous hotel. Great staff, beautiful rooms, very comfortable bed, free movies on the tv, don’t need Netflix. We arranged massages before we arrived, which I recommend doing. She was an excellent massage therapist. From the bellboys to the barmen, everyone was fantastic. Five star experience.

This is a fun property. It's an old building that was a hospital before it was converted. The building is spectacular. It was also very clean. The rooms are quite large - by any standard and especially French standards. The space was also very well utilized. The bathroom was similarly large and well laid out. The location is excellent - near the rivers and lots of tourist areas. It's an expensive area but that's not unexpected. The wifi was good and the A/C worked well. The airport is outside the city so it costs about 50-60€ each way. The property was very quiet. They did a nice job insulating the windows to block traffic noise. Bottom line, I would absolutely return.

On the hill, the hotel overlooks the old town and the main church, and the scenery is breathtaking. The breakfast is very good, the variety is rich, the fruit is very fresh, and the outdoor dining environment is equally satisfying. The hotel’s Michelin restaurant is also very good, with a historic and historic location in the heart of the city. I was fortunate enough to visit The Boscolo in August of this year (22) and have to say I wasn’t disappointed. The staff were welcoming and very helpful and the first impression of the hotel is fabulous. The room was beautiful, clean and very well finished with lovely comfortable beds. The treats left were very welcome too. The pool area was wonderful and the meal we had in the evening, around the pool, was exceptionally good. I would love to visit Nice again and if I do the Boscolo would be my first choice!

This was the second time I had stayed at the Grand Hotel des Terreaux. The hotel is in a central location in Lyon, and I like the style. The service was excellent, they speak English, and I loved the breakfast buffet. The room I stayed in was very nice but on the smaller side, typical for hotel rooms in France. The bed was very comfortable for me, and the room had air conditioning which is great as it can get quite warm in France. Wireless access was included, and fast and reliable. Overall an excellent hotel I can highly recommend.

Stayed 3 nights here in early September 2022. The hotel is right next to the train station in a building with the Mercure and Ibis budget hotels inside as well. At the moment, and still, the same entrance is used for the Ibis styles and budget hotels, which is a bit bothersome. Staff not friendly / welcoming. Breakfast is basic, often supplies are not refilled (staff very slow) and messy. There is not a lot of space. The bar is closed so for the welcome drink had to go to the Mercure hotel bar. Room was on 9th floor with a nice view of the train station. It was very quiet - they have 2 windows. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Room itself a bit worn down (walls etc.), but I guess it is a busy hotel and not all travelers behave. Overall a nice base for the weekend in Lyon. Walking time to the city centre and the main tourist sights amounts to around +-30mins. WARNING!: Be very careful with the vending machine here, next to the reception & elevators: a bottle of water costs 2 Euro. I was charged 3 times 2 Euro for one water bottle and I am now trying to figure out how to get my money back! Also very strange that as a Gold member they do not provide 2 bottles of water for free in the room per day!

We stayed, in this ”little gem” of a hotel, for a one night stay. It was Delightful. The front of house receptionists - that made you feel welcomed, appreciated and requests of no difficulty for them to service our needs - Wonderful. Was it because one of the two female receptionists Mother was born in Adelaide, Australia - the country of our birth - being from Melbourne,Victoria - although we live in Budapest, Hungary ??? Trust she accepts our invitation, you have my e-mail address - authority to use for our contact - her planed trip to Budapest, Hungary - that we play a travel guide role to her for her stay. Internals of this hotel colour of decor carpets - the actual room facilities - Splendid. Location - the large historic ”Place” or Square that fronts the hotel - the vibrancy of life in it, restaurants and outside market - people movement, from ”all stations in life” - culture & backgrounds - Joyous. The railway station next to the hotel - public service of trains, metro, trams and buses - makes a travellers life - Hassle free - and provides easy Mobility around the splendour that is Lyon,France. 5 Star - we rate this Hotel and my reputation is that I'm a hard marker. We will return - sooner than later.

Sitting next to Gare de Lyon, this hotel offers great accessibility, metro, tram, bus, is just across the street. Make it easy to travel to old town center. The room was spacious enough for 2 travelers with backpack. Plenty of space to put our things. Aircon was ok for a hot day in Lyon, gave us a good night sleep. Bathroom also very clean. The hotel manage to give our request days before the trip, appreciate the great communication. The only draw back could be the carpet floor can be a little bit cleaner. Overall the experience and the stay was great.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive to my needs. The room was clean and comfortable overlooking Ampère square. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring Lyon, with many popular attractions within walking distance or a short tube ride away. I booked this hotel back in January for a trip to Lyon on weekend 09-10 July 2022. After travelling from UK and on my way to the hotel from the Airport, we was 5 minutes away when I received a call from Booking.com advising me that the hotel could no longer provide us a room as they no longer had any availability. The hotel did not even contact us directly, but had told booking.com at that moment only, whom called me as soon as the hotel reached out to them. We was stranded with our luggage and no hotel and had to wait for Booking.com to find us an alternative which was over 1km further away. Having booked well in advance, if we had have been informed the day before we travelled they could no longer accomodate us would have been bad enough, but to be told after travelling over from UK and only 5 mins away from reaching the hotel is totally unacceptable. Still the hotel has not even reached out to me directly to apologise for the distressing situation and time wasted on our short trip this caused us. What was meant to be a nice weekend away, ended up being a disastrous one. How can a hotel not know the number of guests they have booked in to stay. Clearly I have marked this hotel with the lowest stars and certainly lowest for Service if thats what you call it. I would love to comment on the cleanliness etc, but unfortunately we didn't even get that far. Customer Service? What customer service? Totally shocking and appalling, be aware that if you choose to stay here, you might arrive and find you are stranded with nowhere to go.

Petit hôtel très sympathique, sans prétention, mais très honnete, bien pensé, bien décoré et aux espaces efficacement optimisés et d’excellent rapport qualité/prix avec un petit dej avec des viennoiseries de qualité, ainsi que du bon pain frais, même si une offre un peu plus étendu en salé serait appréciable. Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et arrangeant . Les « tintins et Astérix » gracieusement prêtés par l’établissement achèveront de vous endormir en douceur.

Good hotel for a short stay - all we needed really. Clean, comfortable, small room with a really big bed. Good shower. Great location. Good price. There is a small fridge where you can store drinks etc but it is not very powerful. The mornings are disturbed due to banging doors inside the corridor but it is not horrendous, especially if you plan to get up early anyway. We did not eat breakfast there because there is so much choice nearby. Overall we would be happy to return there for a few days.

Best welcome in a very long time. Very helpful staff, great location for walking into the Centre of the city. Easy access to main line station and the tram way for connecting with business locations. Plenty of great restaurants close by, be sure to book some of them in advance. Great views close by. Room on the small side, well sound proofed, warm and comfortable. Clean bathroom with a good shower.
