My first visit to this hotel. I stayed for 3 nights and everything about it was fantastic, from my 'quirky twin' room to the restaurant and the adjoining Ancient Mariner next door. Great breakfast selection offering a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, croissants and a choice of cooked too. Terrific staff throughout. I was so taken with it that I've just booked again for next April!

Hi, We didn't stay at the Bath Hotel - but we did use it's restaurant (not to be confused with the adjoining Ancient Mariner) - so this is what the review is about. We both had starts, mains and desserts: Sam had the King Prawns with a dip (he didn't like the dip - but that's personal taste); and I had the Duck rolls with a gorgeous dip - lovely! We both chose the steak for mains - which was outstanding - and Sam had the ice cream and I had toffee pudding - but my toffee sauce came out when I only had a mouthful or two left to eat. - See my review of the Ancient Mariner re: waiting staff - so I will not repeat here what needs sorting. The man who was in charge of the Bath Hotel Restaurant was very good - just what you need - and we had a chat about single malt whisky's when it was quiet.

The hotel is amazing, really quirky and the food lovely. Location his fab. It’s attached to its own bar which is also fabulous. Just be aware the car parking voucher you have to pay for, that wasn’t clear on their website. First morning we were in the restaurant area for breakfast, service was excellent. However they let themselves down on our second day (checkout), we were sat in the bar area, were the service clearly was different, we were forgotten about and service in general was a bit meh. All the parties in there were checking out, so I don’t think it was coincidence.

My husband and I like to try different places off season for short breaks and this time it was at this hotel in Lynmouth. We stayed two nights on a deal, which included breakfast and dinner + a bottle of wine on the first night. There were only a couple of us staying, but the staff didn’t skimp on service or making us feel welcome. We stayed in a quirky room, The Fernery, which was small but of a high standard in decor and facilities. Plus we had a view over the harbour. Their adjoining pub was very cosy and full of atmosphere with a group of locals in each night. They also made us feel welcome. The breakfasts set us up until dinner. The dinner portions were large, but excellent. I can imagine Lynmouth is heaving and noisy in the summer, but we would definitely go back to this hotel for another relaxing short break off season.

A wonderful 2 night stay. Chose the sea view Suite option, which was well worth the supplement. Excellent breakfast and dinner - almost too generous! Well priced wines, sprits and beers. Comfy lounge for pre-drinks with an open wood fire. Well appointed spacious suite room, and a lovely bath/shower en-suite. We will recommend to friends, and plan a re-visit for 2024.

A wonderful quirky, friendly and caring hotel, the staff go over and above to ensure you are enjoying your stay. The food is excellent and plentiful. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, a selection of muesli and cereal, seeds and nuts to top it up, yoghurt and fresh fruit. Then a variety of cooked breakfasts, all delicious. The bar is large, comfortable and welcoming, again made more so by the lovely Sandra who is so helpful. The locals use it so that proves its worth. The location also perfect, central to the village which is beautiful and so interesting. I am coming back very soon.

My partner surprised me with an overnight stay at this little gem of a hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is in a great location with lovely surrounding walks. The room is tastefully decorated and the bed was super comfy. We ate in the Galley and the food was delicious. The drinks were a little on the pricey side but that's by no means a negative and to be expected in the current financial climate. The staff were friendly, engaging and available to assist with any requirements. Breakfast was really good with a great selection of cereals and cooked breakfast catering for vegetarians and vegans. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Bath Hotel to family and friends and we will return for a visit one day.

Fabulous Hotel for a quiet getaway. Individually themed suites, very welcoming, all staff were fabulous - efficient, knowledgeable, friendly. Meals were excellent with good old fashioned breakfast and not self service. Definite 5 star recommendation

Recently attended a wedding here and it was wonderful from start to finish. The bedrooms are so comfortable; clean and well thought out. They served delicious food throughout the day and the service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was really friendly.
