Vehicle access is a nightmare! There is no loading zone for guests, extremely limited coin metered street parking available in this busy tourist town. Check in was a bizarre experience. Once you found where to enter the building, you had to go downstairs to a bar and ask a staff person about getting your hotel room key. The initial feeling upon arrival was one of not wanting to even stay in that location at all. It felt like an opportunistic misrepresentation by the owners of that property, and without any recourse locally to address or listen to our concerns. Payment for the room was taken at the bar and key was provided and there was no other service available at any time. This was the low point of an otherwise wonderful maritime vacation. We had wonderful accommodations for a much better price, and equally interesting and scenic and historically significant communities in Nova Scotia, New, Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. I would recommend that any booking agents not include this accommodation because they are ripping off customers.
