Stayed here for a long weekend. Nice hotel in a central location, close to the main train station and the city center. Everything is within easy walking distance. Clean, functionally furnished, perhaps a little small rooms. The facilities are fine, we didn't miss anything. We stayed at the back (towards the train tracks). With the window open, the noise level is appropriate. With the double windows closed, you can't hear anything, as they are soundproof. The air conditioning ventilates well. Staff are very friendly. Parking spaces in front of the hotel, reservation necessary, costs 5 euros per day. Breakfast can be booked optionally, 8.50 euros per person. For that, you get a normal continental breakfast without any extravagances, we had no complaints. Conclusion: very good value for money, top location for exploring the city center.

We were in the seminar for three nights and were happy around. The hotel is located directly at the Kurpark and in front of the Salu. There is direct access from the hotel to the thermal. The hotel is very well reached with public transport. The staff was very attentive and friendly through the bank. The room was large enough and clean. Despite the location on the street it was pleasantly quiet. Breakfast was great, with many vegan options. No plastic packaging!!! There is a mature energy saving concept. I can only recommend this House further!

We have visited Hotel Bergstrom many times since early 2000. We have always enjoyed the well maintained and well organized hotel. After this stay, not so much. I am aware of 2 years of COVID fatigue and staff shortage. However, when we make a reservation we expect full accessibility, our de luxe room could not be reached by us because it lacked elevator. We got a different room, all fine however, this room was located to the party street where nightlife ended 0230 and cleaning and transport started 0500 so much for the sleep. I am not overly fixed on clean rooms, however, please remove the obvious layers of dust- repair what is damaged. This makes the first impression so much better. Bathroom was first class. We are used to having the Marina cafe open all day- now limited to evening only, so sad. For breakfast only one waiter, should be more staff at hand, and please keep loud disagreements at the kitchen out of guests reach. Finally, for check out-more staff on work, to wait 15 min for check out is to long a wait. So there is work to be done if you are going to keep your 4 star rating.

The driving to the hotel at the break car station is a little complicated. That could have been made easier. Holiday Inn Express is located above the shop or restaurant from the car station. The reception there was very friendly. Check-in went relatively quickly. Although the room and bathroom were typically Holiday Inn Express small, but very clean and quiet. What we didn't like here was that the room and bathroom were quite cold. The possibility of being up to the room temperature control intended for this was not possible. There is a clear point deduction for this. Also a point deduction for breakfast buffet. We felt that in the Holiday Inn Express Hamburg-South was the worst thing we had known to the breakfast buffets of the Holiday Inn Express houses in Germany. The ”normal” breads were no longer available at 09.00 clock. The statement by the staff ”we will still be any re-order” did not use us. Aftershoot of sauce or cheese was only slow and that, Although there were only few guests in the breakfast area. Ruhei didn't give anything here. Like the room, the breakfast area was too cool to stay. The hotel is still relatively new and of course there can still be ”children's diseases”. But there are those that should not happen at all!

The hotel is located in the middle of Lüneburger Heide, and the standard rooms are also large enough and nicely furnished. The size of the hotel is not unpleasant because of the slightly unangular architecture and various (very beautifully furnished) breakfast rooms. The outdoor area is very extensive, maintained and offers postcards. Eating and drinking are OK, but clearly too expensive. With regard to staff there were huge differences. nearly all the servers were very careful and friendly, individuals but also rejecting and unfriendly. We found it partly irritating that visitors who were not hotel guests were banned a place for a cup of coffee, although apparently many tables were (and remained) unpacked. If cafe and restaurant are only designed for hotel guests, you should communicate this way. Overall we have enjoyed the stay very much and are happy to come back.

The hotel lobby enters with a certain expectation. Put a 4-Sterne-Superior sign next to the entrance. The disgust comes quickly, the highlight of the jewelless lobby is ..... a billiard table! The disappointments go on. The young lady at the reception welcomes herself or says little good day. After a short valuable pattern she says with an unexpressed face: What can I do? The following conversation is exclusively about selling us special services. Do you not want to book breakfast too? ( in the neighbouring hotel). Also the use of the adjacent parking deck has recommended you, costs only 19 Euros per day, I should pay the ticket best at the hotel. When I pointed out that the parking deck was a price of 15 euros, she said that the price was increased, the sign had to be exchanged. AND THAT IS LYIGHT! Since I distrust the woman now, I preferred to pay the parking fee directly on the parking deck. And I paid EUR 15 per day! The fact that you are being lie at the reception to generate additional revenues, I have not even experienced, but it is suitable for the overall impression of the house. The booked De Luxe room was large and had a modern large TV. Otherwise, weakly cleaned, a room corner, in which apparently once a seat had been standing, was empty. The crossed mattress was made to bear by a very thick mattress. Apparently with regard to the reception staff, the reception remains unsatisfactory until 13.30 hour in the morning. So the staff does not have to hear the complaints of the departing guests. We have travelled many times for decades. This house is one of the worst three.

So I stayed here a few nights (twice) on business, it's tucked away down a side street nothing outstanding in terms of appearance, it's just another building, with some hidden charm - Staff, attentive and very pleasant, it's got a pretty cozy bar, small but cozy. Sundays seem a little under staffed, but give credit where it's due, the staff work hard to service your needs. Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed, it does not feel too outdated, it's not 2023 but it's warm and friendly, some rooms come with a fridge, some not. Beds are comfortable and bed linen is top drawer, nice set of toiletries in the bathroom, and the rooms are spotlessly clean, even if a little outdated. Room service is available and is pretty darn good!! I like room service after a busy and long day, and it did not disappoint at all. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially if you compare to a similar holiday inn that boasts 4 stars, the H4 wins hands down on price and quality. Would I go back - most definitely, what attracts me the most..... the price and the room service, to be fair location was close to my business so that was not a major factor for me, however in saying this, there is a well appointed mall and many restaurants nearby and some decent food stores for those midnight snacks......
