Wonderful secluded island, close enough to explore the fun activities of Victoria Falls, but totally unspoilt. I have stayed in a number of different hotels in both Zambia and Zim as I am a Falls super fan! The hotels close to the Falls are now disturbed by constant helicopter flights overhead. So Sindabezi is wonderfully tranquil with only birds, frogs and the occasional hippo sounds. The island has 5 rooms, and numerous dining areas, so you can eat dinner on the tree deck and lunch in a different spot. We also had an island picnic and a lovely sunset drink on sandbar. The food is really good and very plentiful. The fresh produce is organic and grown in their gardens. Definitely go for an island walk. Ronald took us and it was wonderful. We saw great birds, including the Livingstone Tauraco and a fish eagle. Bring your binoculars, you can also look for game on the opposite bank. We also went to the Falls and to Livingstone Island where we were lucky enough to swim in the Angel’s Pool. Really amazing and a must see.

You know you are at a secluded spot to yourself when you need to take a 5 minute boat ride to get to your lodge We loved every minute of our stay here. The cabins are beautifully outfitted with a private bedroom and an outdoor shower/bath. Our cabin overlooked (as they all do) the river.....but we were lucky enough to be on the south side of the island to look right across to Zimbabwe. There are plenty of hippos to be seen every day ..along with the occasional croc. A short trip to Victoria falls is just a few minutes away as is a safari trek to Mosi oa-tunya park. There you will see a phenomenal park with baboons, rhino, monkeys, and the occasional giraffe. The service and food here are second to none in the African continent. Thanks so all for making our stay so wonderful and unforgettable. We miss you all

Sindabezi is such a special place. Just a short boat ride away from Tongabezi, this camp is secluded, peaceful, and beautiful. The chalets were nice, comfortable and overlooked the river. I loved laying in bed in the morning watching the sunrise on the water. The staff was welcoming, very attentive and always made me feel like I was at home. Oh, and how could I not mention the food....beautifully prepared and delicious! During the day, the adventures to Victoria Falls and Livingstone Island we fun and at night, I loved having a drink and sitting by the fire, exchanging stories about our day adventures with the other travelers. My experience here was unforgettable!

Arriving at Sindabezi Island Camp after a short boat trip was like arriving in paradise. Only 4 tents directly at the banks of the Zambezi River (we had tent Nr. 1 with the hammock, the outside bathtub and overlooking sunrise), everything was quiet, relaxed and absolutely wonderful. Super-comfortable beds, sleeping under the milky way and with Hippo-sound - this experience we´ll never forget! Extremely friendly staff, Chrishuda we miss you and your catching laugh! Outstanding food, served at another place every day (breakfast in the morning sun, dinner under the stars), we loved it! Just a short boat ride and transfer to the impressive Victoria Falls, many thanks to our guide Abi for his patience, knowledge and friendliness. Another special THANK YOU goes to Timothy, the camp manager, for organizing new charter flights and arranging everything with our next camp. Our 2 nights stay was too short, we recommend a minimum stay of 3 nights. Leaving this wonderful island was really hard, we hope to return some day! Best wishes from Austria Barbara & Gerd

This was our starting point before heading to Botswana. We chose Sindabezi to see the Falls and unwind. Not expecting to see much wildlife we were blessed with a herd of elephants coming for an evening drink across from the chalet. Chalet 1 is more private and the only one with a perfect view on the Zim river bank. We were also entertained by baboons and a small dazzle of zebra running along the river bank. The island is very peaceful and the food is first class. We had lunch one day at the sister Tongabezi hotel. This has a different vibe but very nice too. Staff were all lovely. The only minor criticism is the plunge pool which was always full of leaves. Otherwise a faultless stay.

I was lucky enough to spend my 40th birthday at Sindabezi last week. It is a little piece of heaven and like nothing I have experienced before. We loved the serenity and the beautiful environment. We were treated to amazing food and a level of hospitality that was unmatched. The chalet was perfection and complete luxury. The openness of the chalet reminds you that you are in nature in its most pure and untouched form. The sunrise and sunset cruises are a treat! A special thanks to Captain Ronald(his knowledge of the river and the wildlife in the area is beyond impressive), Nyambe, our amazing and most gracious butler, Chef Pearson, Lwembe and Memory for making the trip extra special. No detail is left to chance! I was treated to an amazing birthday dinner on the floating pontoon on the Zambezi River on the evening before we left. The beauty of this place took my breath away and I hope to be back for a visit again soon. Thank you Sindabezi for the memories!

Sindabezi is an incredible place – feels like you are worlds away in the middle of the Zambezi river yet a short boat ride to civilization and all the attractions of Livingstone. The small island is beautiful with its open air luxury chalets, and because it was a quiet time during our visit we were especially fortunate to be upgraded to the honeymoon suite and its expansive outdoor area. We loved having our morning coffee in the swing overlooking the river. Timothy, the lodge manager, went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable, including planning a surprise picnic on another island. He and his entire staff are excellent and truly spoiled us, especially Memory, our hostess, who was warm and attentive. Felix, our boat driver and guide, is extremely knowledgeable and our river cruises with him were a highlight of our stay. Pearson is a masterful chef and the food was delicious and we ate way too much! We especially appreciated his making us some local Zambian dishes after we inquired, which was a welcome accompaniment to all the fine continental dining. Sindabezi is truly unique and would be ideal for a family or friends gathering where you could take over the whole island.

A spectacular island retreat! We stayed here for 2 nights in early June. It was a magical experience. The island is a beautiful retreat in the Zambezi river, only reachable by boat. The rooms are open to the wild, while utterly private and protected from less friendly aspects of the wild (i.e. mosquitos and larger predators) by mosquito nets, elevation and the river itself. The location is breathtaking - sunrise and sunset river excursions deepen one's appreciation of this wonderful experience. Felix, the river guide, is very knowledgeable and friendly. His expertise on the river is obvious. On the island, the staff are fabulous. They are very friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay wonderful. Timothy was a fantastic host and great conversationalist. We were looked after personally by Chrishudah, who was also fantastic. On the first night, she ran us a surprise bubble bath with sparkling wine, which was magical! The food was also delicious and abundant.
