Great location, with 24-hour parking (NCP) available a very short distance away opposite. I did ring the bell marked Riley's Room entrance, but a member of staff from the pub next door (Riley's bar) looked after myself and two other guests who arrived at the same time. Please note that a cash deposit is payable on check in (£50 for me), which I was not aware of although appreciate other reviews have mentioned this. The nearest cash machine I found was in Central (Lime Street Station entrance) which is a short walk away. You will also need some form of photographic ID. As well as key for your room, you are issued with an access code to enter the building, and I was helpfully advised to take a photo of this on my phone which I did. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot drinks are available at the entrance for a charge of £1. There is a Tesco express very close by as well as a variety of fast-food outlets within easy reach. The rooms include a hairdryer. I had booked a tour the following morning so needed to check out earlier than the 10.30am check out time. There is a room marked reception, but this was closed so I rang the emergency number in order to have my deposit returned. The very friendly and helpful member of staff arrived at the property and returned my deposit immediately. There was the offer of being able to leave left luggage which on this occasion I did not need. Would recommend for a short city-based stay, for a reasonable price, with good parking available very close by.
