After 15 years with 70-90 hotel nights a year this is one of the poorer experiences I’ve ever had. CUSTOMER SERVICE (WILL): at this estsblisment I was left with the impression that my presence and connecting requests annoyed the staff. Most notable in the bar where a collegue of mine was told off by the bartender for not greating him before placing an order, and myself for requesting a copy of the purchase statement (not final bill) and having to request it twice to actually get it. ACCOMONDATION SERVICE (WILL & SKILL): During my 3 nights stay I experienced that items in the minibar was not replenish, a used glasses was not replaced, receiving a robe in size 2XL and flip flops size S, getting the number of availabe towels halfed on day two (keep in mind all the bathing opportunities this hotel promotes), and at check out the booking system crashed. I arrived at 19:45 with taxi and then the hotel had closed the drive way so far from the hotel that it resulted in me having to walk from the taxi to the reception in heavy rain as only part of the drive way is possible to walk under a roof. And of course, no question about how my stay had been at check out as Mr. And Mrs Feedback seems to not be welcome at this establishement. FOOD OFFERINGS (SKILL): Breakfast was absolutely a treat and the gem for me was the assortment at the vegetable/ fruit table and the nicely cooked scrambled eggs. Unfortunately (also according to the feedback from my collegues) both lunch and dinner was expirenced as flat and boring, with conequently over-cooked vegetables by any standards. It was for me evident that Ellery Beach house suffer from a management team unable to consistently select, train, develop and monitor performance of personnel in the hospitality business to met the minimum requirements of not expected but acceptable service and experience levels. In short I did not experience a will nor the skill to make an effort when Ellery Beach house was given the oppportunity.

I went for a day spa with lunch and a treatment at the spa. Overall I can say that it was an amazing experience, extremely friendly staff delicious food, excellent service and my facial was probably one of the best I have ever had!! I can totally recommend it!!

This was our first visit to Ellery beachhouse, but will not be the last. The whole place, with all of the different relaxing areas and pools is very aestetic, and clean. The food is very good, the music they play sends out good vibes, the bed was large, room was nice and spaceious. Still, what really makes this hotel stand out is the people who work there. Everybody went out of their way to make us feel taken care of, both in the reception, bars, restaurant and poolareas. It was two days in luxury and comfort. We had the golden ticket package, and I will higly recomand it. We will be back next summer, for sure. Tonje Bjørnson

Recently stayed at Ellery for one night with their package totally coco. From start to finish this stay did not even meet the lowest of my expectations. We started question the hotels economic liquidity as from the start the room was dusty and several dustbunnies was found on shelves. My four year old can clean better than that. After an attempt to clean the room once again dust bunnies were still present… not that impressive.. The spa facilities have a nice style and estethics to it but there is definitely some repairs and service needed as som flooring is broken and loose. Continuing with the food we was pleasantly surprised at dinner in the coco Beach club. The menu was well thought through and flavours expertly matched service at dinner could have been more attentive as we had to wait over 40 minutes to get our hot courses. The overall disappointment ensued at breakfast with staff telling us that they had gone all out of bacon. I’ve never heard of a hotel that can’t even hold stock of bacon for breakfasts… thus our concerns for the hotels economy.

Had no expectations at all for the stay, but regardless, you exceeded all conceivable expectations! Upon arrival, we received an incredibly nice welcome from Molly who gave us all the necessary information. The stay was part of a birthday present and I had requested a room facing the sea. Room 299 was absolutely perfect! The view was like a beautiful painting, the decor, the location.. the everything! The food was also absolutely fantastic, really good quality of ingredients, presentation and taste experience! The service was outstanding and I also highly appreciated the nice window table we had asked for :) The breakfast was very good and the bread and all the charcuterie were very good. The spa experience put the finishing touch and the warm outdoor pools and the whole lounge atmosphere was magical!

Yasuragi is better! Been curious about this place for a while so my husband took me there for Valentine's day. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Room was on the ground floor but very quiet. I slept very well. Bathroom and bedroom unfortunately with terrible lighting and impossible to put make up. In the Bathroom we could hear everything from the bathroom next door. In the bedroom, this was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen: the minibar was all the way up!!! 😳 Ridiculous!! It makes impossible for shorties like me, not ok! My husband paid extra to get balloons and stuff but the balloons didn't even last 12hs. No Jacuzzis (disappointment) Only tried the sauna by the sea (a bit small in my opinion) which had a nice view. Pools were nice and warm but no view at all! On Tuesday it was an amazing sunny day with beautiful sunset but we had to go out to watch it instead of enjoying it from the pool. In order to make the place more neutral/stylish they should provide swimwear for the guests otherwise it feels tasteless that people are walking around with strings(especially during winter time) in my opinion. Breakfast was ok, nothing extraordinary, a bit spread out but ok. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Would I go back? No!

We had a company event at the hotel and it was a great escape from Stockholm in a good way. The hotel feels new, modern, a bit industrial and has a nice vice to it. Room was large and very comfortable. The bed was probably among the best hotel beds in Sweden. Everything was safe and felt fresh and clean. Bathroom was small as expected for Sweden hotels but was quite nicely designed and decorated in a retro vibe. Breakfast had high quality and better than average spread. Make sure you go to the other room of the buffet where they had a big selection of fruits and yogurts. Service overall was friendly and efficient. Of course people go to the Ellery for its spa and I had a great time there too. There are the indoor and outdoor sections and some in/out door pools and lounge area depending on the weather. The saunas were hot and big. Pools were nice. The beach sauna took a bit of walking through the pine forest to get to but was totally worth it. I was able to order drinks by the pools. Water was also readily available. In summary, what a nice and relaxing experience.

I had a nice stay at Ellery beach. Most of the areas were very luxurious, however one of the outside pool areas which was open was terribly unprepared, no cushions no outdoor heating, no care. The food was good and at the 2 for one price I was satisfied. However, I left my gloves at the table in the restaurant. 20 mins later just before leaving the hotel I realised, and asked staff. They all started sending me to the front desk ustairs. Who in turn told me to email. I returned immediately and decided to look for my gloves myself which were no where in sight. I had however seen plenty of staff cleaning so I was sure they would have seen them! Especially since it was the natural change of guest time, 16:00 . When I left i had to wait 45 mins for the bus and so many many members of staff started to arrive at the bus stop. I kid you not, they were carrying black bags full of stuff! Forgotten possessions of the guest as I understood it. I literally heard them joking about not waning to sit together on the bus as it was too obvious. A hotel of this standard should not employ a bunch of thieves. Completely unsavoury. Ruined a perfectly nice day. I will NOT be going back. Go at your peril.

Ellery is a fab city escape, just 25 minutes from central Stockholm. The positives: the decor is contemporary, cool and fun; the facilities are great; the restaurant and bar served up good food and nice cocktails with a smile. The not-so-good: our seaview room was more forest-view (see picture) and there was no WiFi reception in the room (209); we had dinner included in our package but instead of asking us when we wanted to eat, reception just booked us in for 1700 (way too early); reception staff made no effort to help or explain the facilities (we actually found them a little rude). I'd recommend Ellery for a special occasion but with a few caveats.
