Ideally located for Leeds' best coffee shops, restaurants, bars and co-working spaces, Lovely large main room with perfect table to work on, comfortable sofas, well-equipped kitchen and pretty much everything you could want - and more. Loads of space and stylish modern bedrooms with excellent bathrooms and showers. Room cleaned every day - flexibly and extremely professionally. Even a good small gym on site with good aerobics equipment and free membership of nearby Nuffield gym too! Hard to beat this for style, location, quality, service and value! Will be back and can't recommend highly enough.

This was our second time staying at the Dakota in Leeds! I have to say that personally, this is my favourite Dakota. Our room was once again perfect (9th floor). Beautiful and clean with a stunning evening view of the city. We had drinks at the bar a couple of times over our stay and each time, the waiting staff were so lovely. My friends and I meet up in Leeds annually every February as it is a fairly central location and a lively and enjoyable place to catch up and reminisce on stories of old. We booked the art hostel as it was reasonably priced and looked an interesting and quirky accommodation. Upon arriving we were met by a friendly young lady wearing her who checked us in and pointed us in the direction pyjamas at no extra cost. Our 8 bed room was made up of 4 bunk beds. Each bed was like an enclosed cabin with a window to climb through to get into bed. The room was clean and neat and came with a free pokemon card. When seeing the setup i thought the top bunk would be quite an unique change to the norm so I left my bag on the top bunk and left the hostel to endulge on what can only be described as a disgraceful day of debauched drunked nonsense in Leeds city centre, a short walk away from the hostel. I can't actually remember getting back to the hostel, nor can i remember negotiating the step ladders up to the top bunk. My only rather vague memory is the searing pain and the stomach churning thud as my head bounced off the unforgiving wooden floor of the room after I somehow managed to fall out of bed in my sleep. I've since been told that I picked myself up off the floor and composed myself on a chair by the window that I can only assume the staff have positioned for this very reason although I can't actually remember this. I awoke this morning in my comfortable and clean top bunk bed with what looks like a blue egg on my forehead above my right eye and dried blood slathered across my brow and matted into my shirt which it seems I had failed to remove before embarking upon an otherwise gloriously comfortable slumber. Im not sure if it was the hangover or the head injury that caused the feeling of blunt knives being rammed into my eye sockets. Whatever the cause, it was rather painful. To my surprise I got little sympathy from my six ”friends” and room mates for the night. The proceeded to laugh, empty the contents of my bag over the floor, throw my socks out of the window and generally tease me about my misfortune. All in all a wonderful experience and one id highly recommend to anyone. 5 stars

We had an overnight stay during our visit to Yorkshire and Peak District area. The reason that we chose this hotel is because it had 3 people rooms and it was part of the Accor All program. While being a budget hotel and providing rooms for three people to share, the rooms are very small and quite uncomfortable. If you want a budget short-stay, it is an option but I'm sure you can find more comfortable stays at a premier inn. Location wise, it was at ok distance to city centre however parking was hard to find and overnight parking expensive. HINT: Use the NCP parking nearby and the hotel can provide a validation that will give you a discount of 11£ (still I paid 9£). Here are some details: Welcome: The staff were helpful and attentive. However, there was no recognition of Accor All program status. They didn't provide any welcome drinks and no room upgrades could be offered since it is a standard room hotel. Rooms: The beds are comfortable but everything apart from that is uncomfortable. For three people rooms, the hotel has bunk beds which is hard to climb. There is nowhere to move in the room. The toilet is just a small cabin where you have no place to move and there is no bathroom, just a shower in the middle of the room. The sinks are in the room. Anything more than 1 night would be impossible for us. Hotel: It is an aged building and it is obvious at every corner. The elevators are smelly. The reception area is not inviting. Location: The hotel is central and a short walk to Leeds city centre. However, there is no free parking around. Park at NCP car park and the hotel will provide an 11£ discount voucher. Breakfast: They provide a basic breakfast with some cold food and sausage/bacon options. No eggs. The coffee wasn't great. It was affordable (6£ per person) but it is nothing notable. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. They helped us to find some extra pillows at night when we found out that only 1 was provided even though there was a special request for extra pillows in our reservation. Overall, I would not want to stay here again even though it provides all the necessities. This is mainly because the rooms were very small and claustrophobic and the hotel was quite aged. Apart from that, if you are looking for a good-value stay near Leeds, it could be an option.

I feel bad knocking the hotel. It's in a great location with parking for just £8 a night next door. Ideal for the Armories (free entrance) and a surprisingly cheap £1 river taxi to the city centre. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, in fact the Indian gentleman on check in was probably the best check in experience I've ever had. All the other staff were pleasant. The room was big and comfortable. Now the gripe. Breakfast was an absolute nightmare. The queues were mainly caused however because there was only one toaster and this was set in a way that people had to put their bread in twice to get it toasted. Then there was the wait for bacon and sausages to be refilled ( not a short wait, a good 10 minutes). We recently stayed at a sister hotel in Crewe and their toaster was of a different model that was an industrial 4 slice one making 4 slices very quickly. Mind you they also had cheese on offer which would have also got people away from the queues. Even a few bread rolls which wouldn't need toasting would also alleviate queues to some extent. The last problem was a lack of plates. Would we stay again, yes. Though we would make sure we didn't wait until 8.30am to get breakfast

Stayed here 8 times this year & have booked for another 2 nights this month. Stayed on most floors & different room types. Some of the rooms are looking tired & our last 2 different stays in May the air conditioning wasn’t working in some of the rooms. Hopefully they have sorted it when we arrive in 2 weeks. Hampton Inn Leeds is one of our favourite hotels in Leeds. Great location less than 5 minute walk to Victoria Gate shopping centre, large secure parking spaces great choice of breakfast items, friendly staff.

Got a Groupon deal at only £79 for a double en-suite with breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco. The reception staff were very helpful and even got a free upgrade with a nicer room including soft drinks and 2 Kit Kats with great views overlooking the canal and late check out too. We parked nearby at Leeds dock about 10 minutes walk away as we have done before at a reduced rate of £8 for 24 hours. Nice modern hotel in a great location with free quick wifi and close to Leeds city centre with a couple of bars on the doorstep.

its an old, cheaper hotel, you are getting what you pay for. Reading other reviews i agree the place did smell a bit like an old smokey bookshop and ”reception” was literally two leather sofa chairs with a playstation hooked up, but the guy there was perfectly friendly. The lock to our door was difficult to use, but we managed it. The hotel is very dated, and the beds were not amazing (pillows were VERY firm) but for an overnight or short stay it is fine providing you don't have high expectations. Fairly clean, just thrifty. We would go back knowing what we are paying for as the location was good and the area was really quiet with a few little chilled out coffee hotspots nearby.
