The room was large and comfortable. The hotel had staff to greet in the middle of the night, which was very good. Breakfast is also very nice. Very close to the train station and very close to the lake. Very good choice.

Good location very close to the railway station, restaurants etc and a short hop on the metro either downhill to the lake or uphill to the centre of town. One of the nice check in 'gifts' was a public transport pass for the length of your stay....handy. Rooms are a little bizarre in design and don't take a cat as you won't be able to swing it!!. Bed very small, low and uncomfortable however walk in shower in the small partitioned bathroom very good. Breakfast OK ish. Think you pay a premium for the excellent view of the lake. Reception staff very good and helpful. Nothing special about this place but handy, very clean with good staff.

The people in the French-speaking area are generally more enthusiastic. The whole Lausanne is very beautiful. It is the most unforgettable place in the Swiss trip. The room service of this hotel is OK. The waiters in the restaurant and the lobby bathroom are very friendly. There is just a waitress in the swimming pool who has a bad attitude. The other staff are all good. It is 2 subway stops away from the train station. You can also walk from the train station, about 900 meters. Just walk straight to the lake after leaving the train station. The breakfast is OK. The room corridors are relatively new. Because we live in a new building, the corridors will have access control. There is a cafe opposite the hotel that is particularly delicious. You must go there. If you come to Lausanne next time, you will stay here again. Among the hotels I have stayed in Switzerland so far, this hotel is considered good. Later, we went to Grindelwald and stayed there. It was simply amazing. I miss Lausanne!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. The parking lot is right next to the hotel. There are also special discounts for hotel guests. The front desk service was very nice. They gave me a transportation card to facilitate transportation in the city and a welcome drink coupon. The hotel style is very morden, but the room is small, suitable for business travel.

It’s a 2 min walk from the IMD campus. So a perfect choice for the schools visitors. An efficient and convenient business hotel, with all you’ll need. One downside is the more expensive premium rooms (renovated) are facing the back , and the older rooms have the lake view. A nice Gym as well and a good spread at breakfast. Although would be nice if they’d add an egg station or change the menu a bit. For IMD students who stay for many days it becomes a bit boring to have the same scrambled eggs every day 😊

Exactly what we needed. Comfortable room and bedding, very large shower tub. The Breakfast was nice, with attention to avoid disposable material, fresh yoghurts, two coffee machines. The free Lausanne pass allowing free public transportation (and other advantages) was appreciated.

We stayed at this hotel on our recent trip to Lausanne and it was an average experience. The hotel is modern with lots of airy spaces all around due to the size of the place. It shares the building with a few offices, aquatic park and some event/catering facilities. The rating of each area of our stay is as below. 1. Room: Very modern and spacious with all the facilities including a small safe. The bathroom was clean and nice the way we preferred. The downside was the ventilation in the room. The AC was blowing warm air despite it being a warm day and stopped working completely in the middle of the night which meant we had to open windows and listen to traffic noises on the motorway on the side. 2. Staff: The best part of the hotel. The lady who checked us in was extremely helpful and pleasant and greeted us with a smile every time we went to the reception. Explained things about the city and facilities and went through a proper check in. 3. Breakfast: Needs improvement especially if you're charging CHF22 per head for a full breakfast. The coffee was bland and my wife who's a vegan with gluten allergies didn't have options for breakfast apart from the fruit salads. Some fresh tomatoes and veg (not fried) with salad would have been better to make it inclusive. 4. Location: Fairly on outskirts of the city but we didn't mind as we drove in. Parking was CHF18 per night and you can park at the basement and access the hotel using the lifts. Overall an average rating and the pricing was reasonable for the room.

Excellent
The hotel and staff were brilliant. It truly exceeded my expectations. The room was lovely, pillows great ( I asked for synthetic ones) and the bed was comfortable and firm. The bathroom was lovely too. I had a huge panic after dropping my wallet in a taxi. But Sarah, one of the hotel team, was incredible. She was calm and helped me through my panic. She rang around and advised me what to do. I followed her advice and - miraculously - I found the taxi driver and my wallet. It would never have been possible without Sarah's help. Her colleague (Alf?) was also great. He was really friendly - and funny - and helpful. Nothing was a problem. The gym is a wonderful bonus and I had a good workout. I really do recommend this hotel. The location is also only 5-10 mins walk to a metro station. Thank you for my lovely stay!
The concept behind this hotel is superb, enabling friends and families to be close to loved ones in the hospital. Opening it up to others is simply excellent. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were extremely helpful and informative. The room was very clean and airy and well appointed. It’s true there was no air conditioning, but we didn’t find this to be a problem at all, despite the 30degree heat during the day. We just had to ventilate the room sensibly. The breakfast was excellent and we even tried the restaurant for an evening meal one night - this was also to a very good standard. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel in the future.
GGuest UserStarling did most things that you would expect from a business hotel quite well. An added bonus for me travelling with family was that they allow pets, which is why I chose to stay here. On the negative side, I would expect given the prices charged that little ”extras” like a fridge and coffee machine in the room and a microwave oven available for public use would come as part of the package, but sadly no.
PPENGThe location is right by the sea, the view is excellent, some rooms may not have a lift, there is a luggage service, there is a parking lot, but the location is limited, you need to take the subway to the old town of Lausanne, the hotel will provide a free subway ticket.
GGuest UserThe reception was not exactly efficient - although you have already completed all the data online at home. After 25 km of pilgrim march, you just want one day in a hot day: a refreshing shower. Unfortunately, the cold water hawk was broken in the double room, it came only hot water. The change to another room was then completed quickly. The night dinner was OK. The best at JH Lausanne are breakfast buffet and super lunch bags. Breakfast is fully worthy, with fresh fruit, musli and bread with everything. A real surprise were the (to be ordered) lunch packages. 2 sandwiches, 2 preg. sticks, 1 fruit and a drink for only 10 - fr - absolute top!
GGuest UserThis is such a nice luxurious hotel, and our family has been enjoying staying in it on multiple occasions since 2016. Everything is impeccable: room decor, luxury toiletries, comfortable and quiet rooms, daily housekeeping, and excellent service from all staff members. The hotel is located right by the metro stop, which makes it very convenient, and only 10 minutes walk from the lake. We stayed in the executive room which is spacious, has plenty of storage, nice modern bathroom, a balcony, mini fridge, desk, large TV, safe, and an armchair with a coffee table - everything we needed during our 3-week stay. I can't speak of the hotel high enough and would happily recommend it to anyone. Thank you, team Carlton.
Arrived at 11:30am the recetionnist only said ”you are too soon, the hotel is full”. We asked if we may use a bathroom which she accepted telling us to go upstair. We noticed a room (N°106) is done, the door open. Coming back at the hotel later on, we discovered our room N°....106!. Also we had to ask if the hotel was delivereing free public transport ticket othwrwise it would'nt have been offered. First hotel impression for a 3☆: very poor. Room: the shower is extremely narrow, we cannot put our 2 foot together and extremely sleepy and dangerous too!
This hotel is exactly what you need it to be - close to transport links, close to the centre, clean, friendly and fun! The staff on reception could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I was given my room key but also (unexpectedly) a metro pass for the duration of my stay which was a God send for getting about the city. The metro is also right next door to the hotel so it couldn't have been any better. The rooms are on the smaller side as may reviews have suggested, however, as a solo traveller this did not really bother me. Thankfully the room had a ceiling fan as it did get very warm. As well as the metro pass you are also given a free drink voucher for the roof top bar as a welcome drink, a free pair of sunglasses and packet of condoms :P haha. My only criticism was that on my last night, I went to the rooftop bar planning to have a couple of drinks while reading my book (as I had most nights) only this time was made to feel very unwelcome. The bar was fairly busy as half was clearly being used for a function. There were a couple of tables on the 'free' side reserved so I avoided them and sat where I was taking up the least room. Before even bringing me a menu the waiter came over to tell me that because it was busy and because I was on my own he would be 'forced' to ask me to leave if they needed the table for a bigger party. I understand that bigger tables are better for business, but as a paying customer, and a hotel guest, I felt I had as much right to sit there as anyone else. I had one drink and left as I didn't feel very wanted. It was a shame as up until that point I had no faults in the hotel or the staff but as a solo traveller being told that because you are alone you are less of a priority hit a raw nerve and I did not appreciate it.
Thank you Hotelcard for smart hotel experience . The Crystal hotel is right at Coop City in Lausanne . The room and the shower room are spacious . Beds are Neat and clean . The owner is very generous , welcome drinks with free coffee and tea on 5th floor . I do not think that all the rooms are the same. For the price I paid , I am satisfy .
Due to unfortunate circumstances, our reservation in Du Marche was cancelled by ***********. When we were informed by Dean in the reception that there was hassle with our booking, we were standing there tired and feeling helpless. He patiently explained where the miscommunication occurred, told us he can give a room with private bath (as we wanted it) but only for one night (instead of our plan to stay for 2 nights) as they are fully booked the next day. He gave us *********** customer service number, lent me his internet so I can find a hotel that is available for 2 nights and was helpful in every way possible seeing how we were really disappointed and exhausted (it was 14:00 and we have not eaten any meal yet, coming from Chamonix). I give this hotel 5 stars for Dean's customer service. We could have enjoyed out stay in this hotel, if it was not for some unfortunate incident. Thanks, Dean.
