Hotel Copernicus

Krakow|0.84km from Drehort Schindlers Liste
A review based only on a Spa experience. After a previous visit to Hotel Copernicus last year, we decided to return for a Spa day. The hotel is expertly renovated and stunning inside, boasting a modern interior whilst maintaining the charm of the historical building. The lobby is extremely charming. The hotel itself has 29 rooms and is in high demand, and it’s obviously to see why. The location is perfect with the castle just a minutes walk away. The main square is also easily accessible, about 5-8 minutes walk down the Main Street which is bustling with shops, attractions, and museums. Now, about the spa. This is located in the cellar of the hotel and is once again, finished to an extremely high standard. The cellars are accessible via both stairs and an elevator. The spa is not large by any means, and the low vaulted ceilings provide a very cosy and intimate environment. Your first view is a crystal clear-blue pool, which reflects the light across the ceiling and walls creating a mesmerising dance of the light. To the right is a small check-in desk and immediately behind this is a quaint changing area furnished with lockers, a sink area, and shower. The spa is affiliated with L’Occitane and so all the products are branded as such. As expected, these products are top-shelf and smell incredible. In the lockers, bath robes and slippers are provided, and towels are liberally placed around the spa for your convenience. As a male with size 11 feet, I stood no chance squeezing my spade-like feet into the dainty slippers. I asked for a bigger pair and was provided with an identical, one-size-fits-most pair. Needless to say, I was also unable to wear these but I am used to this so bought my own sliders for the occasion. Next, into the relaxation chamber. Two large reclining beds are located here, on the floor. Very comfy and relaxing environment. Many candles (electric imitations) are present and the atmosphere was so calm I lay down and had the most amazing Power Nap. Free water (bottled) is provided. There is also another shower with an assortment of yet more L’Occitane products. A small sauna in the corner was set to 99° Celsius - and certainly felt it. I managed to endure 10 minutes, but would struggle to stay longer due to the heat. The pool itself is relatively small, but the atmosphere is unparalleled. And due to the need to book a treatment to access the spa, was deserted. The pool itself is amazing, and although heated, is at body temperature. The real star of the show was the treatments. My partner and I both booked facial treatments. 60 minutes for approximately £70. Not exactly cheap by Kraków standards, but this was by far the most amazing experience. The smell of lavender and other essential oils was incredible. The masseur was equally brilliant and I left feeling the most relaxed and stress-free I have been in years. If you are looking to pamper yourself - there is simply nothing else available to this level in the c

Hotel Kazimierz II

I was a little apprehensive about booking this hotel because of all the bad reviews but went ahead anyway, from the outside it look’s quite shabby ( but it is in the historic Jewish quarter) inside the main entrance is ok with seating and it’s clean.I must admit I did ask for rooms at the back as it is on a main tram line so did not want a noisy wake-up call .The reception staff are all very nice and helpful our room was lovely low but comfortable bed, tea/ coffee facilities, a really modern bathroom a warm and cosy 4 nights sleep we did get, breakfast was more than enough choice ( really don’t know why people complain) and the young lad on breakfast duty was very polite and always cleaning .all in all a very nice stay and definitely recommend this hotel easy access to all amenities.

This hotel is located in the Jewish area. It is an ideal location as on a square with lots of restaurants in walking distance. It is a really clean well run restaurant. We had bed and breakfast. The breakfast had a varied choice and was open till 11am. We ate dunner one night here. It was delicious. Our room was very spacious with 3 single beds, wardrobe, dressing table, table and chairs. There is a mini bar, a kettle and hairdryer. The bathroom has a walk in shower. We were on the first floor. There is a lift to other floors. I would definitely recommend.
Aparthotel Oberża

The first night we stayed here, we were in room 2. All seemed OK on initial inspections. The staff seemed pleasant. We went to make ourselves a drink and freshen up. We'd been up since 3am for an early flight. There's a kettle (that's corded, so you have to unplug it every time to fill it up, so take water to it, and a coffee machine. Neither of the appliances worked. We pulled the big table theyre on, out the way to find they weren't plugged in. Not a big deal, right? Well, the electric socket was hanging out of the wall. We plugged the units in, very carefully and made a coffee. Coffee made, went to put some milk in it, no milk. We left the tea and coffee as we both have milk. The air conditioning in the room was set to 24°c and we searched everywhere for a day to adjust it. We ended up going to reception and asking. They keep the remotes to the air con. You cannot adjust it yourself from the room! We borrowed a remote and turned the air con down. We left the room for our day out thinking all was well. On returning later that day, we realised the air conditioning was off. We questioned it with reception the next day (reception is left unattended from 6pm onwards so if you have any issues, all there is is an emergency phone number) and was told the air conditioning has been turned off in all rooms now because the heating was on. To advertise the room as ”Air conditioning AND heating”.....it seems its air conditioning (the you can't control) OR heating. The room must have been 20°c + all night. We thought we'd have a cold shower, to try and bring our temperature down before bed. My wife had her shower, walked across the bedroom floor bare foot and got a small shard of glass stuck in her foot! I went for a shower, turned the shower up full pressure, and apparently this activates a neat feature that forces the shower head out of its holder and smashes you straight in the head. The smell from the bathroom in room 2 was also, terrible. Not quite sure what it was. The toilet was cracked in room 2, but didn't affect use. The shower trap was cracked and loose, not fun if you step on it! We couldn't open the windows because the room faces onto a very busy street. Lots of bars, lots of people, lots of traffic. We were woken up at 11pm, 12am, and 12:30am by noises, car alarms from outside and the heat. Guests coming back late, also seemed to come in and congregate in the hallways to talk. I think if reception were manned, they could remind staff that to be a bit more respectful for others staying. Needless to say, the next morning, we asked to move rooms. Next day we were asked to check out room 9. This is on the second floor. Little bit higher away from the street. The bathroom didn't smell, but that was set to change. The room seemed a big improvement. It was already a lot cooler (although the air con didn't work). Knowing that it probably wasn't going to work, we left the windows open all day while we were out to keep the room cool. On return

In principle, my assessment shows the quality and convenience of rest! ;-D)) In our room, the mini-fridge for cooling drinks did not work and since in Krakow it was quite hot (+29-30*C), this circumstance caused some discomfort! There was one difficult moment in search of the hotel - not geographic (Google cards worked perfectly), and practical - we arrived at the hotel in 21.00 (already dark and the street lighting at the hotel is not available, In addition to this label with the hotel name, the hotel is not highlighted and part of the building in which it is located is hidden behind a thick bush-wood landing, which makes it quite difficult to find the hotel when you have not previously stopped in it!!! When settled at daytime, these circumstances would not cause difficulties as the hotel 's label is well viewed.
Hotel Eden

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Eden Hotel, this is ideally located in the Jewish quarter. If you turn left outside the hotel and then head slight right through the little alley you are at the restaurants and pubs (about 2 min walk). The main square is about 15 mins walk away. The rooms were really clean and spacious. The staff were really friendly and organised all the trips and taxis to/from the airport prior to our visit. The hotel is very authentic and breakfast is served in the basement which has lots of lovely features. The range of food available at breakfast is huge, we were really suprised by the choice. You will not be disappointed if you book here. I would book in the future were I to visit Krakow and will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

I think we had the best room in the hotel, great street views. Bed was huge and really comfy . In fact the whole room was big with a comfy sofa , table and nice shower room. Staff were lovely and friendly and it was a superb location. We stayed for four nights and every evening after a day out, came back to a nice clean room . Will definitely stay here again.
