Forte Kochi

Right where the action is! Forte Kochi is perfectly located on Princess Street - just steps away from everything - the Chinese fishing nets, cafes, galleries and the whole Fort Kochi vibe. The hotel itself is a living, breathing piece of history. Once a part of a palatial Jewish home built in the 1860s, with that iconic lemon yellow facade and gothic stained-glass windows, it's just stunning. That yellow made our day - every corner felt like a photoshoot, we couldn't stop taking pictures! Food was killer and the staff was so courteous and warm. A boutique heritage stay that perfectly blends old-world charm with modern luxury. Loved our stay here - highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our time in Forte Kochi. We checked in at 1am and the staff incharge allowed us to go straight to our room and do the check in process there which we highly appreciated. The breakfast options were not extensive but of great quality. The late afternoon snacks were great as well.

This hotel was beautiful, because the staff were so attentive and caring - ensuring that your holiday is the best it can be.      The rooms are spacious, very clean and cool with the air conditioning.    Breakfast was a feast, you had the options of everything local and western - waffles were amazing!    Food in the evening was fabulous I would recommend the fish platter which was stunning and if you prefer food that is not hot hot hot re spice levels, they accommodate and make it more medium to flavour.     In this hotel you feel like part of it rather than a guest, as every staff member remembered your room number and who you were, which is amazing and made you feel very special.     Also they go out of their way to help, we were attending an engagement and I didnt know how to wear my half saree, without any questions, the lady at reception ordered some pins and sorted my outfit so I looked the part.  True service.    Pool was a little small, but perfectly clean and cooling in the hot sun.   Only downside for us was we could only have wine or beer from the bar, so we missed our Gin & Tonics.    We left at 5am for the airport and the night before, we had a call in our room asking if we wanted a lovely pack out for our journey, including hot coffee.   Lovely surprise and 2 members of staff were in reception to check our taxi was on time and help with bags....  I  want to thank all the team for making our holiday brilliant.  

A haven in a very busy Kochi. I wouldn't book anywhere else if I returned.

We had a great experience. All of the staff were extremely friendly, food was amazing and the location is very convenient to explore Fort Kochi.

I recently stayed at Forte Kochi in India and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is set in a beautiful location, with a private courtyard pool that adds to the serene atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and made for a relaxing stay. With plenty to do nearby, we truly enjoyed our time and would gladly return.

Just stayed one night. Check in friendly and easy. Room had no view but was well equipped and decorated in a colonial style. Nice pool area and good bar Breakfast was biggest disappointment- more than enough variety but fruit poorly presented in tiny blocks that meant watermelon was mushy. Service definitely an area for improvement. No coordination between staff meant asking 3 times for a second coffee to get one and then no warm milk Great location if your only in Cochin for a couple of days
