Pranee Beach Bungalows

Obviously we didn't expect a 5 star hotel, but after seeing other facilities of the same level, we expected it to be better than we found it. We had booked a beach bungalow. the room is large and clean, the air conditioning works well, but the bathroom smells bad and the running water is brown, I washed a white t-shirt and it was all stained with rust. The space in front of the bungalow is very narrow and there are umbrellas that are used by all other guests right in front and next to your bungalow so you don't have any privacy. Umbrellas and sunbeds are dilapidated, in such bad condition that you don't even want to sit down. The beach is very long and you can take long walks but the sea water is brown and we didn't want to dive into it. We had booked 2 nights but only stayed one. We ate well at the restaurant but we didn't understand if whoever manages the restaurant is also the manager of the bungalows, the lady made us understand that she had nothing to do with the management of the bungalows, but wanted to make us pay for the night we slept despite we had already paid for 2 nights through ******* and had to argue a bit. If you add to all this that to get there you have to take a 2 hour drive from Phuket airport to the pier where you can take a boat to cross the canal and it can happen that you have to wait even 30-40 minutes, then take another taxi to going 800 meters will cost you 150 baht (madness) ... it's not worth it, at least for us. With all the beautiful places there are in Thailand we do not recommend this place.

Positive points: great location on an island far from mass tourism, superb deserted beach (but you should know that the water is not super transparent), small family structure, friendly welcome and atmosphere (thanks Pranee), restaurant and small bar with your feet in the sand, spacious, clean and air-conditioned bungalows, scooter rental on site (essential because the hotel is isolated) Negative points: very basic standard of rooms and no decoration, very unpredictable water flow in the shower, bottles of water on the first day but not replenished afterwards, kettle in the room but no tea bags or coffee, uneven quality of catering: a great first dinner with freshly caught grilled prawns and another rather unsuccessful dinner (forgot the order , error in the dishes, padthai without perfume...), In summary: ideal for a calm and relaxing stay but without activity Advice: choose the bungalows "on the beach" or the "sea view" which are one row behind.

We really relaxed here! The most beautiful places are the bungalows directly on the sea, which we rented for a number of days. The bungalows are very simple without luxury, but what do you have? The most beautiful views! And a hostess who is unique! Get to know Pranee and her son who runs the cocktail bar and you are guaranteed to close them to your heart. The food made by her sister? We really haven't had a better meal anywhere than here! Everything we ate here was super tasty! And.....do you want to relax even more? Then have a fantastic massage with coconut oil! There is not much to do in the area, but with a scooter you can have fun driving to other deserted beaches. We thought it was fantastic!

Zufällig haben wir die Bungalows auf einem Reiseportal gefunden und wollten ursprünglich nur eine Nacht bleiben- daraus sind 3 geworden und hätten wir keine Anschlussbuchung gehabt, wären wir bestimmt noch länger geblieben. Wir hatten einen Strandbungalow, die hier wenige Meter vom Meer entfernt liegen. Das Essen ist sensationell und alle Mitarbeiter unglaublich lieb. Wenn wir noch einmal nach Thailand reisen, ist dieser Ort definitiv für uns ein place to be!

Die Bungalows sind toll gelegen, sehr sauber und super freundliches Personal. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr lecker und preislich ok.
