Friendly staff and good location just in the small town , nice breakfast and very good view from the room and also the restaurant.

Just back from a week in the hotel and wound highly recommend it. Very welcoming and helpful staff at all times. Lovely spacious bedroom and bathroom. Housekeeping was great every day. The pool and sauna area was so relaxing. Nice bar though some of the staff need more training. Also long wait times despite many staff behind the bar!! Ate in the a la carte restaurant one night snd the meal was faultless. Really centrally located and just 5 minute walk from the gondola. Overall a great experience and I would definitely go back!

The staff were friendly but no assistance with luggage to the rooms. They are advertised as a spa hotel but the indoor pool was cool and not warm which one needs in winter. The temperature of the shower was just above warm and not corrected after saying they would call a technician. Breakfast was not great. Nice location on the old town but a pity that the facilities were not great

After 2 years of cancelled holidays, we finally made it back to Kitzbuhel for a summer trip. Although we had been twice before to Kitzbuhel, this was the first time in this hotel. The hotel is very well maintained, the staff are all friendly and helpful and it is well located for getting about. The room was spacious and kept spotless and the food in the half board restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Over our stay of two weeks, every meal was delicious and the restaurant staff were polite and did an excellent job. The only minor downside was that our room partly faced the main street and without air conditioning, we needed the windows open overnight. Unfortunately almost every night there were groups leaving clubs that were shouting loudly, sometimes as late as 3.30am. This clearly isn't the fault of the hotel however when we return, we will ask for a room on the other side of the building. This is probably only an issue for the hotter months of the year but we did have disturbed sleep most nights. Notwithstanding the above, the hotel was excellent overall. We made good use of the pool/spa and we would have no hesitation in returning. Others clearly feel the same as many of the UK guests had indeed been there before and knew the staff! Bottom line: A lovely hotel, definitely worth a visit!

The was the latest of several visits that we have made to this property over the years - we were a group of friends from Ireland on a week's ski-ing. Following earlier renovations in 1975 and 1990, the latest modernisation has retained the essential family-run feel and warm hospitality which brings us back every time we come to Kitzbuhel. The Tiefenbrunner has been carefully managed by the same family for a very long time and is now in the capable hands of Maria's son - Markus Obermoser. Markus and his team made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The Goldene Gams restaurant is a huge step up from what it used to be and it is worth a visit even if you're not lucky enough to be staying here. The hotel is right in the middle of Kitz so it is an ideal base to enjoy the shops, bars and restaurants all around you. The rooms are warm, beautifully fitted and very comfortable. Highlights for us were the special aromatherapy sauna sessions in the spa and the absolutely brilliant service from Inga, Gordan, Urska and the team that served us drinks and lovely food and for putting up with us Irish lads all week! Excellent experience and great value for money; see you next year!

Just back from the best holiday we have had for years. The Tiefenbrunner was amazing. The food fantastic and restaurant staff brilliant. So friendly and great service. The hotel is in the centre of town which is great, our room had a huge balcony overlooking the Kitzbuheler horn mountain. The pool and wellness area are high class and a beautiful garden with interactive natural water area. Local buses and trains free with your hotel discount card and plenty going on in the town. A trip up the Kitzbuhel horn and Hanenkam on the cable cars a must. We can’t wait to go back.

Our second visit to the Hotel Tiefenbrunner and very happy we returned. Everything as good as before with the added bonus of updated bedrooms and a refurbished residents dining room. All rooms are kept spotlessly clean by the excellent housekeeping staff. Our room came with a kettle, choice of teas, a large fridge and views of the mountains. Lots to choose from at breakfast, hot and cold options, and for dinner, a choice of mains together with another four courses including fresh salad. Drink prices are very reasonable, house wine can be ordered by the glass and unusually for Austria tap water is provided for the table. We found each dish on the menu to be imaginative and full of local ingredients. Some very talented people in the kitchens! Waiting staff are happy to help with any requests and engage with guests, resulting in a welcoming, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. There are many facilities on offer, we made use of the indoor pool, the kneipp ponds and swinging egg chairs in the gardens. The weather was good all week, except for a rainy Monday afternoon. It never seems cold in the mountains when the sun is shining, perfect for walking, exploring the pretty streets and shops or sitting outside the cafes and mountain huts. We found the 5 in 7 day lift pass to be the best value for us, this included unlimited use of seven mountain lifts and free travel on local buses. Happy to recommend Kitzbuhel and Hotel Teifebrunner for a memorable holiday in the mountains, we travelled with Tui who provided smooth transfers to and from Salzburg airport and a resort rep to provide advice and help when needed. I’m surprised Tui have cut back on the number of hotels they offer in Kitzbuhel, we’ve been to Kitzbuhel four times now, one a winter holiday, and still feel there’s more to see and do, it’s a great place for a holiday. Hope to return soon.

We are staying at the hotel , which is fantastic, near to all amenities, clean and tidy and food is fantastic. The staff in the hotel are all very helpful and attentive especially the restaurant waiting staff both in the guest eating restaurant and also the main restaurant- we will definately be coming back next year.

Loved staying at this hotel. Our room was spacious, with usual Austrian bedding of firm beds, soft pillows and warm duvets. The food was very good and plentiful. One of our party was gluten and lactose intolerant and the hotel went to great effort to make sure her needs were met. What stood out the most for me, was the amazing staff. The staff were friendly, charming and all had a great sense of humour and dealt with our requests without fuss. Would certainly make this my first choice accommodation when visiting Kitzbuhl again!
