What is most important to me when I go to a hotel, is the experience. Rok Hotel Kingston went above and beyond to make sure that I had the best experience possible. Some of the team that contributed to making my stay most enjoyable, Monife - Front Office Agent, Keenan the Head Chef, who went above and beyond to making sure that my Father and I had the best possible lunch experience. Stacy Ann - Dining Room Server, smiled, served and made sure that we enjoyed our meal, Nickesha - Front Office Manager reached out to make sure that ALL was ok, Shantol was our bartender who surprised us with delicious and flavorful beverages. Rarely do you experience so many employees in one place making sure that you are having the best time, and I highly recommend this hotel for your getaway needs. BRAVO Rok Hilton staff!! Well done.

I visited for 2 weeks and I loved the peace and tranquility of the environs at The R Hotel. A small hotel, but cozy. Breakfast was served every morning and let me tell you, the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and proficient. I will definitely return.

First time ever in a Kingston hotel (came for Independence celebrations) and I absolutely fell in love. You are greeted at the entrance with a car that is the same make and model of one driven by James Bond. It's pretty cool and the outside of the hotel is gorgeous, so it just adds to the class. Jhonelle and Janelle at the front desk made a hectic check-in with 6 adults, a baby, and 12 bags, a breeze. They smiled and laughed at my jokes (bless them) and handled it all with grace. They also came to my assistance a few times within the two night stay (giving directions, replacing lost keys, etc). The breakfast in the morning was probably one of the best I've had in a Jamaican hotel. Owen, who was on the breakfast staff, was attentive and helped my husband and I squeeze our over-sized stroller into a corner. He was extremely mindful and helpful throughout the breakfast. The hotel was close to a lot in Kingston and our room was exceptionally clean. There were two pools; the Sky Pool (for Instagram) and the Cabana Pool, which was just a very nice pool. The Sky Bar and Pool were gorgeously lit and made the background of some great pictures at night. Their staff, as well, were pretty nice. Miguel had the pleasure of getting our bags out of our rooms. He will also laugh at your jokes and win all the lines in bag Tetris while efficiently getting you out. If I ever needed to recommend a place in Kingston, it would definitely be here.

From the moment of making our reservation, this hotel was very accommodative. Provided extra information on the Jamaica Carnival - thank you Farah! Monique was very professional in chec king us in. The ladies in the Housekeeping Department were very great & attentive to our needs. Paulette went above & beyond to ensure we had all we needed for a great trip! Kudos to all! Our flight was late and we got to the hotel sometime after 9 pm. when we reached the hotel, the hotel staff advised us that they had computer problems and could not check us in. We waited over 1 hour to find out that they had given away our reservation. We tried to get something to eat while the hotel staff tried to find us another room, but the kitchen closed at 10 pm and we were very hungry. They tried to accommodate us and let us order 2 salads to go which took 30-45 mins. When we finally got our salads and we also got notice that they found us a room for the night. When we got to our room, it was very nice. They gave us the executive suite for the night which eased my dissatisfaction in their service for the night. The next day, I asked if we could stay in the Executive suite for the rest of my stay without any additional cost since they could not find us another room as i had originally booked. they agreed and my aunt and i had a great time for 1 full day. On our 3rd day when we returned back to the hotel room after being out the full day, we noticed load machine like sound coming from the room since we were on the 10th floor. Then we notice the sofa seat was wet and water on the floor. Then we noticed water coming from the ceiling running down from the ceiling down the wall and over by the living area and by the bar area. It was crazy. I had to call the front desk and report it. They sent up someone to evaluate and then when they saw it, they called the manager or engineer to take a look. It appears that work was being done on the roof and the water came down into the suite and made a mess of the furniture and floor. The engineer apologized for the inconvenience but and then left. We were left in the room with water all over the floor and unable to use the living room. We ended up having to call the front desk to have then send someone to clean up the water on the floor and on the furniture. We ended up eating in our bedrooms. When we checked out, i mentioned to the hotel staff about the inconvenience we had with the water and the staff was sympathetic but no apologies or offer to give a discount or anything. I decided i would not return to this hotel again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially with the experience we had.
