This is a modest, slightly old-fashioned hotel. My single room looked quite freshly renovated, though. Enough space to store your things, even a (very small) room safe, a clean and functional bathroom. Cleanliness in the room itself was mediocre (some spots on the carpet and it didn't look like they cleaned the space under the bed, but it wasn't too bad). Quite comfortable bed. Small, acceptable breakfast. The location is convenient, in easily walkable distance from the main train station and close to the Stena Line ferry as well - though the immediate vicinity isn't particularly nice. Reception was closed overnight at the time of my stay. For the price, the hotel is alright.

I wanted to book the room directly at B&B via the Internet. It was an offer of over 75,- €/night with breakfast. When I wanted to book it was on the side that all the rooms are loaded. Then I have to book a room over partners (trip.com) for 116,- €/night without breakfast. When we arrived at the hotel, we wanted to have breakfast next morning. Since we did not book the hotel directly at B&B, the staff member wanted to No discount (10 %). Then our appetite was passed and we had a very good breakfast next morning.

Ein tolles Haus mit Ecken und Kanten. Die Zimmer sind, je nach Kategorie von, bis. Unser Zimmer war in der zweiten Etage mit Blick auf die Förde. Über eine Treppe, oder mit dem Lift leicht erreichbar. Die hohe Badewanne wird nicht jeden erfreuen, hier sollte im Vorfeld sondiert werden. Den SPA-Bereich habe ich nicht besucht und lasse die Bewertung aus. Das Frühstück muss ich hervor heben, es gibt fast nichts was es nicht gibt, super. Das Abendessen hätten wir uns schenken können, ausser teuer war es einfach nichts. Ein Absacker in der Lobby war uns auch nicht gegönnt, nach über einer halben Stunde vergebenes Warten auf den Barmann sind wir zu Bett gegangen. Außer dem gestressten Barmann war der Rest des Personals super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Von einem Haus in dieser Kategorie erwartet man etwas mehr.

Also here, partly with very good staff and service, but unfortunately, partly weak staff. Eating in itself is good, but for the performance you bring too expensive in the A la Carte business. We were guests at an event, unfortunately, the performance of heights and depths was also marked here. The ice cold, I think, TK vegetables was unfortunately the negative height. Suppe average, pre-food was good, after-food average. Breakfast was enough and very good :) Bar: I was always good visit, so I can't understand why one trainer is left to work there alone. It was unfortunately not behind because of the high demand. However, she was very friendly, effortless and one of the best staff in the hotel. Why let them work with a trained button is a mystery for me. Wellness: The area is very beautiful in itself and I was very positively surprised, Because of our own very negative experience, I would dismiss us to visit the pool area with young children, because our experience is not desirable for children to stay in the pool in normal child volume and it is noted immediately be quiet. The other guests in the pool could not understand why we were noticed and have just shaken their head. Unfortunately, a significant negative experience, as we had no “volume” problems in any (wellness) hotel yet.

Good store. Beautiful hotel. Clean. There are also parking places outside the door but you can see little.

We stayed at the Steigenberger for one night. The hotel is nice and conveniently located opposite Terminal 28. It also close to the city centre. The buffet breakfast was very good. However, there was only a bottle of water in the mini-bar. The weather was quite hot and there was not ventilation unfortunately.

This hotel is a destination and a starting point for our multi-day bike tour along the North Baltic Sea Channel. The hotel is quite cheap for this bike tour. The hotel also has a closed and sufficiently large bike room to ensure the bikes can be safely accommodationd. The service is excellent at both reception and breakfast, always very friendly. The housemaster is also top, could help us with a short-term tool super. The room is spacious and - we had a room for the garden - quietly quiet. In the evening you can sit in the quiet garden and the small bar has a small but very good offer of drinks. The two excursions from here on the beginning and the end of the day are also very good to do from here, as the right bus is both from the point of view of the Kiel South Coast and from the ferry to the North Coast very close and here too recommended. Overall we can recommend the hotel very well.

The absolutely worst experience! I’ve never been met with an attitude this bad from a receptionist. Tuesday, WE made a mistake by driving into the hotels parking. We ask in the reception if we can get out again, but one of the receptionists (with very bad English) tells us that it is okay for us to stay there, even though we wanted to get out. Already there we had a bad communication because of his bad English. So he lets us stay parked there thinking it’s 15 euro pr. night/day. Two days later we came back to get our car. The receptionist (woman) starts to scold us out, saying that WE COULD NEVER park here if we were not guests! And we politely tell her that her coworker told us two days earlier that it was okay. (Everything should be on their camera) She said that NEVER EVER would her coworker tell us that. I then ask if she thinks we are lying? Treating us like 3 dogs from the street, I’ve never been talked to in that way. She then gets her “manager” or whatever he was, then he starts telling us that we have to pay 100 euro for the two nights, because we are not guest, and apparently it says that outside, but we talked to another receptionist two days earlier who told us different. We then told him that this is because of bad communication from their coworker and the mistake is on both sides. He tells us that our car could be pulled out by a truck and then we can pay both? So basically threatening to call someone to get our car pulled out. And I respond that we can drive our car out ourselves and no need to threaten. We NEVER said that we wouldn’t pay, but simply discussing what we should do about this mistake. And of course we know that if we had parked in there and did not see the sign it would be our fault, but we were TOLD different in the reception BY A RECEPTIONIST. I am still in shock over the attitude and I told them that their attitude was so bad. We payed the 100 euro and got out. I want some money back because THEY misinformed us and treated us like we’ve never been treated before. I worked at a hotel in Denmark and we would never talk to a guest like this. Simply not okay. I hope you get your attitude fixed.

Das InterCity ist im ganzen Land eine gute und beliebte Adresse. Das Personal stets freundlich, die Ausstattung der Zimmer für geschäftliche Kurzreisen ausreichend. Allerdings sieht man bei genauerem Hinsehen das in punkto Hygiene der Schein trügt. Die fest verpackte TV-Fernbedienung wird vor dem eintüten nicht gereinigt. Und wenn dann Handtücher Löcher aufweisen, Dichtungen der Duschkabine sich ablösen schürt das den Eindruck von Gleichgültigkeit. Positiv fiel mir auf das es in dem Zimmer sehr angenehm duftete. Das sorgte für einen Wohlfühlmoment.
