Coconut Beach Resort

Coconut Beach Resort is an oasis of calm in the otherwise faster but still laidback pace of Key West. Our second floor two bedroom unit looked out on the pool and the Sandy beach of the Atlantic. Except for a child on the third floor that ran around on our first night well into 11pm, the unit was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen enabled us to enjoy leisurely breakfasts and lunches inside or on the deck overlooking the ocean. The electric grills down in the pool area worked well for grilling two dinners we ate in residence. The interior of our unit showed its age with repairs and modifications too blatantly revealing their past history via poorly sparkled walls and sloppy painting and with most of the furniture looking like it is ready to take up residence in Goodwill. We were told upgrades are coming later this year. The resort is ideally situated for easy bipedal access to Duval and Simonton and is surrounded to the generalized west with a variety of quality, relatively inexperienced restaurants, art galleries and shops. My wife enjoyed her morning walks to the pier just north of the resort. Coconut Beach’s location could not be better to access the best of Key West.

We visited Key West coming from Miami this February and stayed at this hotel. When we checked in, we had some trouble finding the hotel’s parking but we eventually found it. Then we went to our room; we had a bit of trouble getting in the first time. The doors are keyless and unlocked with 6-8 digit PINs. We stayed in the two bedroom suite which was very nice and pretty although not cheap (~$500 per night). That said even though just the two of us stayed in the room it could sleep up to 6 if the sofa bed was used. One of the two bedrooms was spacious with a yellow bed and a great view of the pool. The other bedroom had a red bed and was darker and smaller, although still nice. The pool downstairs was nice, and kept at a pleasant, not cold temperature. The hot tub was very hot but once we got used to it it was very soothing and pleasant. Overall I would recommend the coconut beach resort in key west.

The property is located right on the beach and walkable distance to many attractions. The beach area is nice and very convenient, the hotel offers complimentary happy hour on Tuesday and Friday. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. The only cons, check in is at 4 pm and check out is at 10 am but we left our bags in the lobby and went and walked to the nature preserve then came back I would stay there again

This property was ideal for my family as we could walk to all the attractions in town AND to parks and beaches nearby! A wonderful and relaxing experience with great staff and gorgeous and spacious rooms overlooking the water. We absolutely would try our best to make it here again and will recommend this property to anyone heading to Key West! Relaxing in the hot tub, overlooking the crystal blue ocean, with palms swaying in the breeze was an unforgettable moment. Thank you Coconut Beach!

This was a very wonderful stay. It was quiet and while I would not consider it walkable to the duval party scene; its walkable to old duval that’s a bit quieter and more chill.

Everyone was so friendly. The location is great, the views are amazing in every suite, love the open balconies and how everyone leaves their doors open. Ocean sound is incredible. Units are spacious.

It was great. The location and space met our groups needs. Unfortunately there was a lot of sea**** on the small beach which made a very unpleasant smell. It should have been removed and not left to rot.

The staff was welcoming and helpful upon arrival and even after checking out. The heated pool and hot tub were nice. The resort was clean and well kept. Would love to come back and spend more time there.

Great stay. The room was nice. The beach is small but the other bigger beaches are walkable. Lots of dining options nearby
