The Bad and Subpar: - Food options were not good. Dishes were salty, lots of wieners and sausages, cheap bony cuts of meat, and plant-based options were just some beans. Pastries weren't good - the donuts were stale and hard, croissants weren't flaky. Very low-quality options and not what I was looking forwards to. - Negligible plant-based meal options. - My alma mater's cafeteria had better options. - Hotel room was musty and needed a deep steam cleaning. - It sometimes got really noisy in the room - which wasn't from resort entertainment noise. It was maybe construction or something else. Very bizarre. There was banging in the middle of the night, so much so that one time I woke up thinking the building was about to collapse! - Someone in my group got sick from a shady bartender. - An older person in my group had a fall and the guest relations and security were beyond useless - they were actively degrading and just disgusting to deal with. - The room buildings don't have elevators. The Good: - The grounds were immaculate and the hotel is laid out very well, giving spectacular sea views. - Most staff were friendly - except for some individuals in the guest relations on the Jamaica side and a **** security guard. - Non-motorized water sports were included, available, and fun. However, you have to pay a refundable $30 cash deposit for snorkeling - per person. I won't be going back here. I came as part of a large group and no one is planning to return.
